Everyday Math (Achievement #9 = 3 points + 3 points)
When my mother asked me
1 + 1 I smile and say
Its equals 3
Supposed to be 2
But, its an old scheme already
I answered her very proudly
She was furious and instruct me
To stand at the corner
Until 4 in the afternoon
My 5 siblings laughing at me
6 flowers in the garden swaying
To tease me.
I feel my legs hurting
Relieved when she says
Time is up.
My father comes back at 7
We kiss him in the cheeks
One by one
8 plates were ready at the table
We tucked in bed at 9
I count up to 10
Close my eyes and ready
To visit my dream land.
