identifying the symptoms
is the first step of the game
the increased pulse, stammered words
the mind a little insane
the longing for the moment
that first touch of the hands
that sparkle in the eyes
sinking in emotional quicksand
lips that surely quiver
unsure as they touch
breath that comes in gasps
the smile that says so much
the beginning of an era
faces that surely flush
maybe not a lifelong commitment
but at least a first time crush
