When your quirk had gone out of control, you knew you may have used too much blood, but you didn't imagine it was so much that your quirk needed help keeping up.
The last time I was here, I wasn't even enrolled yet.
You're sitting in the nurse's office, staring up at the ceiling. Not even a few moments ago had you been watching your classmates battle. Through your gloves, you realized that your blood pressure was still low. Seeing as they were being monitored by Recovery Girl, you ended up on a bed in her office.
An iv line was attached to your arm, a bag with a bit of blood hanging from it. Although usually blood transfusions would take longer, your quirk allowed for a quick process as it naturally replenished blood quicker. Of course, there were still instances where you needed a bit of help.
You guess you should've expected this since you could barely process what happened during your fight's evaluation, mind hazy.
I get the feeling that this won't be the last time I'm here...
"Speaking of, I should stay hydrated." Getting off the bed, you make your way to a water dispenser by the door.
You really didn't want to hear Ms. Shuzenji nag at you for being irresponsible again and an empty glass was perfect fuel for that.
Before she left to go take care of something, she gave you a small lecture about how you should be more careful and how reckless you were. Although you agreed, you didn't say much and merely smiled through furrowed brows.
At this point, what more could you say?
So frustrating.
Had it not been for the two unconscious on the other beds, you could nearly mistake this for a small break from all the chaos that was your class.
I wish Ms. Shuzenji at least pulled over the sheet dividers before she left..
Alas, there they were.
An old friend and a new one, both asleep side by side. It was a little ironic.
Wheeling your iv line towards them, you stop just between the foot of their beds and take a gulp of your drink. Deku looked rather peaceful, freckles dusting the apples of his cheeks. His brows were a bit furrowed, though.
Walking up to his bedside, you press a finger between them and watch as his lips purse afterward relaxing his expression.
You let a chuckle slip.
At this rate, he'll get wrinkles before he hits 30.
He may have lost his fight, but he won the battle. That's, at least, something to be proud of.
There's rustling behind you. When you whisk around, Todoroki has turned to face away from you.
Your attitude towards him today..wasn't the best... though you couldn't help it. You just didn't know how to feel. All you could think about with every blast his way was how his gaze was still clouded even after all these years.
Aside from that, you never expected him to be a Todoroki. This whole time you had been talking to Enji's son, your uncle. And this whole time, your uncle was actually this monster in Milk's life.
Even now you could barely wrap your head around it.
Shaking your head, you smack your cheeks lightly.
I should focus on getting better right now.
Walking back to your bed, you take a seat on it. Although you say that, Todoroki's words haunt you.
