Y/n P.O.V~

I sat looking at the campfire, eating my food with Reptile eating a piece of meat as I spoke.

Y/n:" So, Reptile, why did you work for Shao Kahn?"

Reptile looked at me with his green eyes as he spoke.

Reptile:" Shao Kahn invaded my home realm of Zaterra and enslaved my people. He said that if I worked for him that my people would be free, and we could have our home back."I looked down at the katana, the symbol of the Shirai Ryu carved into the sheath.

Y/n:" I see, so you wanted to have what was best for your people."

Reptile:" I did."

I looked down as I honestly felt bad for Reptile; he was trying to help his people. I sighed, knowing I was going to regret this decision in the future.

Y/n:" *sigh* I'll help you."

Reptile looked at me like I was crazy as he spoke as he flicked his tongue at me.

Reptile:" Why would you help me?"

Y/n:" Freedom is the right of all people, and just because you are a bunch of lizard people doesn't make you any less of people. Besides's Kinana and I are friends; maybe I can convince her to let Zaterra go like what happened with Edenia."

Reptile sighed as he spoke.

Reptile:" Maybe, but I imagine she couldn't do that right now, especially since outworld is at war right now."

I was in shock that I had not heard about this.

Y/n:" It is?"

Reptile:" Yes."

Reptile gazed into our campfire as he spoke.

Reptile:" I don't know how but from what I know, Shao Kahn had returned."

Y/n:" Reptile that's impossible he was taken to be punished by the elder gods themselves."

Reptile:" That may be true, but somehow he has returned."

I looked into the fire, clenching my fists.

Y/n:" Well then, I know what I have to do next.

*Two weeks later*

I walked through the forest looking for the bandit camp. As I walked through the woods, I saw a fence of sharpened logs and two armed guards standing at the entrance. I walked towards them as one of them called out.

Gaurd:" State your bisnus here!"

I sighed as I spoke while keeping on walking.

Y/n:" Listen, your leader Raven Branwen has something I need, and she is either going to give it to me, or I will take it."

The guards were about to attack me, but I quickly summoned the Murasama and activated

zandatsu. As time slowed around me, I cut both their legs open but not enough to kill them. Time went back to normal speed as I walked through the bandit camp; all the members looked at me with fear in their eyes as I shouted out.

Y/n:" Raven Branwen get out here!"

A tent in the camp opened, and a woman with jet black hair and a mask hair.

Raven spoke with a cold voice and a hand on her sword.

Raven:" You looking for me?"

Y/n:" I am. You have something I want."

Raven tilted her head while speaking.

Raven:" And what would that be?"

I pointed my finger at the woman and spoke, showing her the fifteen headbands tied around my arm.

Y/n:" You have the number five headband; you will give it to me, or I will take it from you."

Raven chuckled as she took the headband from her pocket and tied it around her head behind her mask.

Raven:" Very well, then let's fight."

I sighed as I drew my katana, getting ready for the battle. Raven and I charged at each other. Our blades clashed as our eyes met, gazing into each other. I broke the clash and slashed upwards, breaking Ravens guard before I kicked her upwards. I hurled my chain kunai as it stabbed into her shoulder, and I pulled her down as I yelled out.

Y/n:" Get down here!"

As the woman was tugged, I punched her in the face shattering her mask as she spewed out blood before throwing her to the ground. The woman stood up and glared at me with her crimson eyes, and I got a good look at her face.

Raven:" You're going to pay for that."

Raven and I charged at each other once again and began to swing our swords at each other. Sparks flew with every coalition of the two blades. Raven caught me off guard and punched me across the face as she grinned. I grabbed her arm and spun her around before hurling her back. Raven landed on her back as I formed a ball of fire in my hand and tossed it at her. Raven quickly dogged it as the blue fireball whizzed paster her and hit a tent, causing it to be consumed in blue flames. Raven growled as she charged at me. I ran at her and slid down before I kicked her into the air. Raven landed on her feet and began to flee into the woods. I had Reptile come out of my hand as I shouted out.

Y/n:" Fallow her Reptile!"

Third-person P.O.V~

Raven ran as Reptile followed her through the forest as she constantly changed paths behind trees, and soon Raven was cornered her back against a tree and right was about to bite her until his way suddenly stopped. Reptile turned around to see that he was tangled around many trees and shouted out.

Reptile:" Y/n pull me back. I'm stuck!"

Y/n did so, pulling the snake back into his hand. Reptile gave Y/n Raven's location as he leaped into the air and formed a massive blue fireball in his hands as he let out a roar and launched it at Raven. It was moving too fast for Raven to doge it; Raven put up her hands to shield her face as she was struck by the fireball and fell, knocked out due to her injuries. Y/n walked over to the knocked-out bandit leader and took her headband, wrapping it around his arm as he spoke.

Y/n:" *cough* *cough* Another fine adtion to my colection."

Y/n walked out of the burning forest as Raven got up and made her way back to the tribe happy she got out of that fight alive.
