Nathan couldn't help but chuckle after every minutes passed. He was leaned relaxed on his bed. William walked out of the bathroom and frowned at him as he made his way to his bed. He sat on his bed and began to dry his hair with his towel but his eyes were fixed at Nathan who was simply chuckling on his own the moment they get back from college.

"Ask her out already," William said amusedly.

Suddenly, Nathan's face fell and lost in his own thought for a moment before letting out a deep sigh.

"Not now," He replied sadly. "I need to take care of my family mess first. I don't wanna drag her into my mess."

"You always say that," William said and shook his head. "You might not notice but let me tell you this—you're breaking her every day, Nathan." He told him.

"You love her and yet, you rejected her when she confessed to you. And I know Evelyn is trying her best not to ruin the friendship between the two of you but bro, she's human too. We all get tired at some point." William said in a serious tone.

Nathan stared blankly at space as he regarded William's words silently.

"I know you were too wounded from your previous relationship but Nat, Evelyn is different and you know it too."

Nathan silently listened to him.

"Tell her already that you feel the same about her and also, you can tell her about your first meeting ten years ago," William said with an amused smile playing on his lips. Nathan let out a soft chuckle and turned to look at him.

"I was on my way back home from your place that night. And that's when I saw her crying at the park all alone," Nathan reminisced and chuckled softly.

"And you knew she was the one next door coz you've been stalking her whenever she comes to visit her Grandma-" William amused.

"I didn't know that Evelyn would be her. If I had known back then, I wouldn't have-" Nathan stopped midway and sighed deeply, feeling a sense of regret washing over him.

"I want to tell her everything but I just couldn't find the right words to say," Nathan sighed.

"You're just being chicken to tell her, aren't you?" William teased making Nathan shot him a pointed look.

"By the way-" William trialled and looked at Nathan through his lashes. "Who was it from?" He asked.

Nathan understood what he was talking about and simply shook his head. "Just someone," he said in a shrug.

"Just date her already so that those proposals will stop coming too," William said under his hearty laugh.

"You're no less either," Nathan remarked and gave him a deadpanned look. "You receives more than me,"

"That's because I am easy to approach," William said in an amused tone. "But I hadn't received one from the one I like." He added to which Nathan snapped and looked at him with narrow eyes.

"You like someone and you didn't even tell me!" Nathan said in an accusation tone and gave him a upset glare.

"I was just kidding," William laughed. "And don't worry, when I find my princess, you'll be the first one to know." He added and winked at him.

"You better do that or I'll kick your ass," Nathan warned him admusedly as he stood up from his bed and made his way towaeds the bathroom for a shower.

William simply smiled amusedly looking at his back before fetching his phone from his side and tapping and scrolling over his screen. He smiled sadly as he stared at his phone screen.
