After spending some alone time inside the bathroom, Evelyn made her way to where Mrs Ebenezer and the boys have gathered along with the children. Mrs Ebenezer took notice of her first and creased her eyebrows in concern.
"Evelyn, dear, what happened?" Mrs Ebenezer asked softly, noticing her faint red eyes.
"Nothing," Evelyn prompted with a small smile.
"Grumpy, we were just waiting for you. We're heading back now. We'll visit tomorrow again for the program," Nathan informed and came beside her. Evelyn creased her brows and looked up at him.
"But aren't we-"
"Alright, see you all tomorrow, kids. Byebye," Adrian interrupted and waved at the kids animatedly before taking Evelyn's hand and dragging her along with him, towards the bus.
Shortly, the others came and joined them by the bus. She crossed her arms over her chest and darted between them.
"Spending the night at the orphanage was a lie, isn't it?" She asked glaring at them, especially Adrian and Mark who earned the most glaring. "Forget it, I should have known that I was being played," She said tiredly before withdrawing her hands to her sides.
"We didn't lie. We are spending the night here but not particularly at the orphanage." Adrian said amusedly. "We are going to The Abyss,"
"Abyss?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes over. "And you are the God of the Dead, Lord Hades?" She said in a sarcastic tone.
"Yeah, you can say that," Adrian shrugged off.
"Then where is your Persephone, ran away from you?" She retorted looking up at him.
"You can be my Persephone." Adrian prompted and smirked at her.
"No thanks, I'd rather be one of the dead than to be your Persephone," She snapped before looking away from him.
"Evelyn, The Abyss is a home for the nine of us. It's just some minutes away from here." Russell told her.
"We'll be tired of travelling back and forth. We'll stay at the Abyss and attend the program tomorrow, and then we can leave for college," Nathan told with finality in his tone. Evelyn regarded him for a moment before getting inside the bus. Nathan followed immediately and took her by her wrist. Then he dragged her towards the last seat and gestured her to the seat near the window.
Wordlessly, Evelyn settled near the window. Nathan chuckled softly before sitting beside her. The others got inside and threw them amused glances before settling down on the seats. William smirked at Nathan before sitting beside Russell.
"Hey, Leader, you took my Persephone," Adrian said looking at them and threw a glare at Nathan.
"She's mine now," Nathan said casually, jerking an eyebrow at him. Beside him, Evelyn glared at him and kicked him on his leg. Nathan gave her a pointed look before looking back at his front.
Mark appeared behind Adrian and rested his hands on Adrian's shoulder. "C'mon, Hades, let me be your Persephone for now," Mark said amusedly making everyone stifled a laugh, even Evelyn chuckled at his words.
"I knew you are bi," Adrian jested before sitting down. Mark let out a chuckle before sitting down beside him.
"Let's have fun," Mark told in a whisper and extended his fist towards Adrian.
"Yeah, lots of fun," Adrian smirked and jabbed his fist upon Mark's.
The ride to the Abyss was short and peacefully calm. Since they all had a tiring day, most of them were asleep through the ride. Evelyn was asleep peacefully with her head rested comfortably over Nathan's shoulder.
