Nathan parked his car right in front of the common hall building and killed the engine. Then he turned to face Evelyn only to find her staring blankly at the front, lost in her own thought.

"You alright, Grumpy?" He asked under his slight frown. Evelyn took a moment before slowly turning to face him.

"What do you think about your dad? Does he really love that woman? Is he really going to get married out of love?" Evelyn asked quietly.

Nathan scowled visibly and looked away from her. "We're already here. You should go now," he said, ignoring her questions and never once glancing towards her. Evelyn let out a deep sigh knowing that she made him upset bringing the topic about his dad.

"I know it's none of my business to meddle into your family matter but as a friend, I want to advise you to have a proper talk to your dad. We all have our own reasons for our actions. Try to find the true reason and maybe both of you can sort out things peacefully," Evelyn said what she has to say and got out of the car.

Nathan regarded her words for a moment and got out of the car as well. "Grumpy!"

Evelyn tuned back to look at him. Nathan came around and walked towards her, standing a feet away from her. "I'll take your advice and talk to my dad." he said in a quiet tone but his eyes were soft on her.

Evelyn looked up at him with a smile and nodded at him.

"And-" Nathan became nervous and slowly drift his gaze away from her. Evelyn frowned slightly looking at his not-so-regular behaviour. But then suddenly her face lit up when she notice faint blushes over his perfectly fair skin.

"And?" she said jerking an eyebrow at him as she leaned in to face him. She couldn't help but tease him. Her pain was gone at the moment.

Nathan stared at her for a moment before keeping his hand over her head and straightened her up in her position.

"And goodnight," He said with a cheeky grin and turned back towards his car.

"Tch. Tch," Evelyn sounded in irritation and crossed her arms over her chest as she watched him getting inside his car and driving away.

"Eve?"

Evelyn turned back and saw Emilia making her way towards her from the entrance.

"Hey, Em," she greeted her to which Emilia smiled at her. "Going somewhere?"

"Oh no, I was just about to go to the dorm but then I saw you and came," Emilia answered, her voice sweet as ever. She paused for a moment and looked at Evelyn with a curious look. "Eve," she called out to her again and fidget in her position.

"Yes, Em,"

"Are you and Nathan dating?" Emilia asked nervously. Evelyn regarded her silently for a moment before looking away from her.

"No, we're not dating." she answered to which Emilia looked at her with mixed emotions. "You like Nathan?" she asked. Emilia looked away from her and blushes slightly.

"You know, I took up the courage and gave the letter to him." she said quietly and begun to blush harder. Evelyn sucked up her emotions and pretended to be normal.

"So what did he say?" She asked and gave her a teasing look.

"The moment I gave him the letter, I ran away," Emilia answered and palmed her face, feeling embarrassed. Evelyn chuckled softly and shook her head. "I haven't told Cornelia and Aaleyah about it yet. And if I tell them, they are surely gonna lecture me for my silly act." she told her.
