Garroth Pov:
I have no idea what's going on! One moment Aph was going to answer the door, the next she's freaking out and Aaron, who only knows who she is because we've all been hanging out these past couple weeks, is cuddling her and petting her hair!
I turned to Zane and said: "Whatever it was that caused Aphmau to get like this can't be good. Let's go check it out."
Zane nodded. "Exactly what I was thinking." He then addressed the rest of the room. "Garroth and I will go look outside. The rest of you stay here. We'll be right back."
My baby brother and I hurried down the hall to the front door. I placed my hand on the doorknob and looked at Zane. He silently counted 'Three, two, one.' and I yanked the door open to reveal... nothing. There was no one there.
Suddenly the strong reek of blood hit my nose and I recoiled, looking down in the process. I gasped.
There was someone lying on the ground in front of our door. His clothes were torn and bloodied, his breathing was ragged, and he had a large wound on his chest. But the fact that there was a person bleeding out on my friend's doorstep wasn't the most surprising thing (I know, shocking). The most surprising thing was that I knew this person, and that I thought and hoped that I would never see him again.
The person getting blood all over Aph's front porch...
Was Ein.
Alright, I know, it was a short chapter. But i will update again tomorrow, I promise!
