Ema's pov

That day was our first day of new academic year after vacation. I guided kathy to office from hostel where we collected our new textbooks. Like usual, Jiya wasn't with me. We were walking towards our new classroom with books when someone called me.

???: Ema?

Nick??!! We turned. There was Jwel too.

Nick and Jwel are my only friends. Oh....I have added kathy recently to this list. Nick is a tall, good looking boy. Very cheerful, friendly, talkative and kind to everyone. He is very famous among girls. Though, Nick is crush of lots of girls but Jwel is Mr . handsome, crush of almost every girls in school. He is caring, friendly, calm and not talkative.

Hey Nick !! Long time no see, huh. How do you do?? I asked.

Fine. But.....our vacation is over :( Nick made a sad face.

Oh dear! What can we do? I signed. Obviously I am sad also:(

You two will be sad even after spending 10 years of vacation. Jwel said sarcastically. So? Who gets happy from new textbooks., huh? Nick asked in an annoyed tone. I was spending all of my time in my art but now I have to read these boring textbook. Nick signed
I think it's relatable to me also,Kathy said. Btw I am kathy, Ema's roommate. Nice to meet you two. Kathy said with a smile.
Hey, I am Nick Parker. Nice to meet you too.
I am Jwel Rahman. Nice to meet you too.

Umm..., Kathy suddenly turned towards me like she has remembered something and asked, the class is about to begin , right?
Yes, why?
Where's Jiya then? Kathy asked.
The atmosphere suddenly changed. I could see the angry expression of Jwel. His body become stiff.
Umm, Kathy...., let's go to class. I tried to change the topic.
Right. Where's that devil? Jwel asked in cold voice.

I noticed the expression of wonder in kathy's face which was obviously appropriate for the sudden change in Jwel's voice. Nick was staring at me and I was staring at him, while thinking what to say.
Who? Kathy sounded confused. She was going to say something more, but I stopped her. When we waked up, she wasn't at room. I said.

Good, Jwel's anger disappeared and he smiled. The atmosphere turned normal again. Me and Nick signed in relief, but Kathy's confusion was still clear on her face.
I will explain her later .( my thought )

Rinnnnnnggggg

The bell rang , let's go to the class friends, Nick said in a joyful voice. Right, let's go. We all smiled and entered to our class. The smile disappeared instantly after seeing Jiya on her dest, reading something attentively.

I heard Jwel mumbling, 'I just didn't want to see that devil.'
Before anything else teacher entered to the class and we seated on our desks quickly.
