I and Kathy said goodbye to Nick and Jwel was heading towards our room when someone called, Ema ?

We turned. Mr. Interesti...opps! I mean Joe ?

Hey, I didn't see you with Nick and Jwel. Where were you? I asked.

Hey Ema, can I talk to you? Joe asked hesitantly.

Sure, I replied. I was astonished but didn't show it in my expression. What does he want to say? I thought.

Then you go first, I said to Kathy.Okay, she left.

We sat in the canteen. Can I ask you something? Joe asked.

Sure.

Since when you guys are friends? Joe asked.

Us? I, Nick and Jwel are friends for almost 8 years. Kathy has come just some days before you, I said.

Jiya? Joe asked.

Jiya?! Umm... technically, she is not a friend of us but I know her from the same time as Jwel.

Aren't they twins? Joe asked.

Yeah, they came here together but what to do you wanna say?

I think, I have heard Nick that day and I really don't want something like that to happen again. So can you give me a brief description of them? Joe requested.

Hell yeah! I smiled. Let's start with Nick, okay?

Okay.

I am not sure if you're thinking that Nick minds over small things. But let me tell you it's not like that. Generally, he doesn't mind so easily, he is so talkative, fun loving and friendly. But he is so sensitive when it's about his family, so it's better to not mention about his family when you're talking.

Family? Joe took a small notebook and started writing.

I suddenly felt a warm feeling for him. First I thought that he is so self centered and doesn't care about other's emotions at all. But now I think I was wrong. He cares more than us but just doesn't show it. He was trying to make Nick understand the right thing for him after all...

Then?Joe asked.

Then Kathy. You can't tell by looking at her but Kathy is so emotional. She had to left boxing cause of her family, so when someone discuss about boxing she remembers that becomes sad.

Joe noted, Kathy- boxing.

Jwel is not so bold like them. He is so calm and patient. As far as I know, there's only one thing you need to consider when talking to him. That's i....

Jiya?? Joe interrupted.

You know? I wondered.

Nick said. Do you know the reason clearly? Joe asked.

I know just like Nick does. Jwel never clears it.

Then ask Jiya, Joe said.

I chuckled. Jiya? I will solve hundred math problems rather than talking to her, I said jokingly.

Why? Joe wondered. You hate her that much?

No, idiot. It's just, I think I can count the words she has said to me in these 8 years.

Oh, what will you say to explain her character? Joe asked.

I think you know her better than me.Nick said you go to meet her, right? I am not so good at analyzing people.

Yeah, but I don't know anything about her. Her character is so interesting, Joe said thoughtfully.

Is there anything that's not interesting to you? I smiled. But in this matter, I agree with you. Indeed she is interesting.

It's just.... what about you? Joe asked suddenly.

Me?

Yeah. Jwel said you're a very good writer. Tell me something about you too.

I blushed. Just average writer, Jwel exaggerated. I am not so talkative, and my friends are limited. I don't have any particular topic you need to consider while talking,  I am a good listener anyway.

Well. You're also good as a friend then. So, can we be friends? Joe asked.

I pretended to be wondered. I thought we are already, I said.

Really?

Any doubt?

We stared at each other for a moment then both smiled. I discovered a totally different side of his character that day.
Hey, why don't you say something about you? I said.

Me? I... am interested in human psychology. I am good as a friend,  I find everything about you guys very strange and interesting equally and I really want to be close with you guys, Joe said. But you're the most beautiful and confusing creations of this universe I guess.

I didn't understand half of his words but didn't show it. He is Mr. Strange at the same time I guess but yeah, he actually is good as a friend, I thought. I said, human psychology? Cool.

I think that's the most confusing thing in this universe, Joe said thoughtfully.

Then after staring at each other for a second then we both started laughing again.

To be continued.
