'Remember the dates carefully, it may come in exam,' said Miss Anna ,the history teacher. 

Both Joe and Jiya were reading book of their interest. Mam hasn't noticed cause their desk was in the second last row. All the students were yawning, hardly anyone of them seemed to be attentive in the class.

'So now, we are going to start...'mam started to walk towards back where they were sitting. Joe was so lost in his book to notice her but Jiya did.
'Gimme!'Jiya snatched his book but before she could hide their books mam saw.
'Jiya!' She shouted. 'How dare you to read another book in my class?'
'I am sorry, mam,' Jiya apologized in a low voice.
Sorry? Don't think I will let that slip, you're getting your punishment after class. Now.....mam started again, why? a voice interrupted her.
Joe? Did you say anything? Mam wondered .
Do you know mam, the way you teach us is damn boring? Joe said coolly.
The whole class stared wide awake at him. It was maybe the most interesting thing ever happened in history class. A girl named Sarah laughed loudly for a second and roughly stopped, gulping as mam gave her a dead stare.
What... did you say? Mam seemed shocked. She still seemed to not believe that a student is talking like that to her.
Your class is so boring, so you can't blame someone if she's reading something else. That's your mistake that you can't draw your student's attention, Joe answered calmly.
Idiot! Jiya muttered.
Right, said another voice. Nick! everybody turned. 'You only tell us how to get marks. That can't be point of reading something.'
Mam stared silently. Seemed to have lost her words.
And also, how can a human remember all the dates we get every year in our books? You also don't remember them,do you mam? Kathy said this time.
Noticing mam's face turning red, Jiya muttered, 'stop! You are making it worse you idiots.'
'Truly we get nothing from this class. So when she's reading something else, that means she's utilizing her time properly. That doesn't worth punishment at all,' the rest l added also.
'We learn history to learn from where we are, what our ancestors did,' a voice came which was totally unexpected to all of them.
Jwel?! I muttered. How come...?
'From remembering some dates we won't be able to know that. Also, from history we learn what right and wrong decisions our ancestors made, which helps us to make our important decisions, 'Jwel continued.' It's really something very interesting but the way we learn it, it definitely becomes so boring to us. That's why most of us hate this subject.'
'He literally copied my lines,' Jiya muttered again.
Mam's patience's limit was crossed. shut up! she shouted. Enough with all your rubbish! All of you, get out of my class. Straight to the principal's office, now.
Mam! cried Jiya. I read another book, punishment is mine. They're not going with me, right? They didn't do anything.
All of you, mam gritted her teeth, staring especially at Joe. Just now.
Come, Joe said and started towards the door in a worry free manner.
But mam.. Jiya started again.
I won't repeat , mam said in a terribly angry voice.
Come, Joe called her. Jiya didn't dare to argue anymore. All five followed him.

Why did you all put yourselves in a mess? Jiya asked angrily pulling the broom towards her. You!( Joe) l didn't ask for your help,did l? Who told you to interfere in my business?
It's my wish, alright? Joe said irritatedly. I also didn't ask you to help me ,then why did you pull my book?
That's..c...ause... Jiya stuttered.
Can you guys please stop quarrelling? You helped him, he helped you, it's over now, l scolded. Now move on.
Well... from where should we start our cleaning? Nick asked hesitantly. What do you think? Only us can finish it?
Cleaning the whole school only cause we said the truth? It's damn unfair, Kathy gritted her teeth. She can't teach, and we also can't say that?
Who asked you to get involved then? Jwel asked bitterly. Should've thought about it's result first.
I wished. That's my choice, okay? Why did you? Kathy asked angrily. For her(Jiya), right?
Not for her obviously, Jwel  irritatedly said pointing at Jiya. For you guys.
Guys! We all friends are doing something together, that's what good in this punishment after all, Nick said smiling. So don't argue anymore, let's start.
Right bro, Joe said cheerfully.

  He seemed somewhat happy about that punishment. Though he is Mr interesting, but could he find mopping floors interesting too? I thought.

Are we starting or you want to clean the ground also? Jwel asked coldly.
Let's start, we can do it. I said screaming energetically.
Don't scream idiot! We are done for if mam hears, Nick scolded.
Opps! Sorry.
I couldn't but grin all the time we cleaned. Even after receiving punishment what made every joint of my body hurt,l don't know why l was so happy that day. Maybe it was the effect of 'Joe'.
