Shit, shit, shit.
I think to myself while walking away from Captain Rogers. Holy shit. Holy FUCKING SHIT. The eyes, the button up, the pants, the muscles, the beard. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. THAT IS A WHOLE ASS MAN!
"Faye, what did you say to the Captain?!" Kris asks excitedly. I look for her in the crowd without drawing attention to myself.
"Just giving him a sneak peek of me." I reply flirtatiously. The boys make throw up noises in the background and I can't help but laugh a little. I walk through the casino more, trying to occupy myself so that people won't notice me. I make my way to a slot machine and begin playing.
"Okay everybody Cap is walking down 12 o'clock with a group of men," Sam says.
"I'll trail behind. No one knows who I am just yet. Plus Cap knows you guys are here, so HYDRA probably engraved photos of all of you to their men tonight," I reply back leaving the slot machine. I grab another glass of champagne from a server and trail behind Cap and the guards. They lead him onto another floor and I watch the elevator stop at level 4. I take the next elevator and press the 4th floor button.
"Faye, they entered conference room 3. Are guards present outside?" Griffin asks.
"Negative. All guards are inside with Cap," I reply.
"Send out Tony's new contraption, Grace," commands Griffin.
A tiny flying metal thing exits the vent and enters underneath the door without causing suspicion. I enter conference room 2, which happens to share a door with the conference room Cap is in.
I could use that as an entrance if I'm needed. Part of me is hoping I don't need to intervene. But part of me wants some action. Tony's new toy relays the audio into our ear pieces and the five of us listen closely.
"Captain America, it is very lovely to have you here tonight. I did not know if you were going to make it!" says a man with a Russian accent.
"Well, I had to be front row of the complete downfall of HYDRA," the Captain replies. The guards begin to laugh, which causes me to tense up. There's what, 20 maybe 30 of them, and 1 Cap? He's clearly outnumbered. Then, the chaos begins.
Here we fucking go again.
"SHOTS FIRED! SHOTS FIRED!" someone yells over the comms.
"Faye, we're evacuating all guests and taking down these guys. You're on your own if the Cap needs help!" Kris yells.
Okay maybe I shouldn't have wished for action.
Suddenly, the man with the Russian accent yells "DID YOU START THIS?" to Cap.
Shit, shit, shit.
Do I remember how to shoot a gun? Let alone PUNCH SOMEONE? Do I do a little kick... I get myself out of my thoughts and tune back into the conversation.
"No, that wasn't me," Steve says calmly. God, what the fuck is happening to me? Why does my heart get mushy when I hear his voice? I hear a handful of guards cock their guns and I know it's my time to shine.
Let's have some fun, I guess.
I push through the connecting door and pretend to act like a drunk girl.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry. Was I interrupting something?" I say with a giggly voice. Cap turns his head immediately, not knowing who I really was. He just knew me as the girl at the bar. His eyes widened and looked helpless.
Little does he know.
"I was just looking for the bathroom. Could one of you direct me there?" I say and purposely trip onto the closest guard to me, which thankfully is also far away from the rest.
