{August 19th}

May not be my best choice for a temporary hide out, but still, it's shelter I guess. After we entered Bullworth, me, AJ, and Gordon discovered a rundown motel, that is somehow intact. The name is the "In-and-Out" Motel, and whoever owns this place must know what they're writing.

On the bright side, the beds aren't sticky, and don't possess any suspicious stains...we also had to change the beddings because it was infested with termites. Fucking termites.

We fortified ourselves in also, and we also made a wall made of scrap metal and wooden parts we could find...also detached materials from the motel.

A few folks are certainly enjoying their stay in the "In-and-Out" Motel, but this is not a very good shelter, as I do say so myself.

Today, I'm gonna head out; of course I can't do this alone—I managed to convince Sifer to join me on this trip, simply because she wants to walk her mind off things. Maybe I'll bring my boy just because.

Talulah insisted on coming with, but she's more needed in the motel than out there. We're gonna explore Bullworth Town, the...district we're in I discovered.

Morale is optimistically high, but if that plummets then we may have a problem. Also, I heard from recent scoutings from Gordon that he saw a few movement that aren't shambling in place, nor stumbling. He assumes there's people here, but I think they're not willing to take in a motley crew like this...not this time.

From atop a crudely made foreman's pulpit, which is basically a sky nest on a dead tree, modified to bear a flat platform on the canopy, Hosea pockets his book in his bag, picks it up, and climbs down. His gear is already on him, that, and the Zcom cursor jacket – the only clean jacket and only jacket he has because he has to share his jackets to everyone for warmth. Then off he goes, to pick up Sifer, and maybe Eno if he's not busy.

Whilst looking for Sifer, Hosea recollects the appearance of the motel, to...ease up his mind and get himself more familiar. The motel is, of course, L-shaped, as should many motels would look. It has two stories, and approximately ten rooms on each floor. A decently sized room with a bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom, all furnished with everything you need for your overnight stay due to a rain, or a one night stand.

The motel is, unfortunately, in an exposed position, so a lot of materials had to be wasted in order to provide a lot of protection. The perimeter is secured by the use of spike barricades, and cars with spiky rebar stuck on the windshield, caltrop nail traps from nails stuck in thick foam squares, and the windows are all boarded up in case the defences are down.

Once again, the toughest defenders are on top of the catwalks of the walls – thanks to Bob and MudRock, and Hosea for coordinating the inexperienced survivors in helping – watching the perimeter intently. Of course, there are a few exceptions, and new additions. Lyudmila and David are among the additions of the guards, and Cate and MudRock – having to rest for a while – are the exceptions.

Once again again, Elijah, Joseph, and Barry are catering to the vehicles; York and Cody are on kitchen duty, and Cate and Sani are on chores.

Quite an unusual but interesting sight however, inside one of the open motel rooms, which is prolly to give in air, Gordon is catering to Yelena's migraine by applying ointments specialising on head related ailments...except for aneurysms, and basically acting as her servant.
