Road to Bullworth

{August 15th}

I made my way to the far east edge of Temperance, just atop a hill that covers its location. I say, what a good natural wall this is. I made a temporary camp here, I won't be here for long – all I want is to take one last look into the shining prospering city Temperance has become.

The coils hum with activation, and I have reasons to believe I'm out of the safety dome, because I could feel the heat rising up...or maybe that's just my emotions.

A few of the buildings near lights in them, but I know it's because the generators are only powering important places...it might take a while before Temperance gets a better power source.

With high walls to keep the chaos outside, with an invisible protective dome that ensures catastrophes won't ruin this city, hardworking citizens, soldiers, and vigilantes keeping its spirit safe and alive, and an organised government to run it, this city will continue to thrive, and be a beacon of civilisation to a lost and broken world.

As I bring a toast...to our hard work, onward!... To the next city... There are more survivors out there, and cities that need my help!

As Hosea finishes writing his entry, he puts it back inside his bag, and commits a toast to Temperance's prosperity. To make sure he won't crash and die on his way out embarrassingly, he fills his cup with soda.

After tightening to straps on his luggages, he hears a faint sound of pebbles cracking and getting crushed under a circular large rubber object. Hosea thought he was hearing things, or he might've stepped on an autumn leaf, but the winter is just gonna get more severe, and it's doubtful that Autumn is just next in season.

Suddenly, from the path he took to get such an awesome and breathtaking view of Temperance, his gun truck – decked out with exterior improvements, drove up next to him. Hosea was left confused, but as the driver's side door opens, someone he didn't expect showed up.

AJ, who was wearing his usual cowboy outfit – with the poncho that's probably an embroidered curtain, a yellow vest, a white tailored shirt, and jeans tucked into his cowboy boots – pranced into view. His arms are outstretched like he's free for a hug.

---

AJ: "You should've told me you were going out! I didn't dress up like a frontiersman for nothing, you know?"

Hosea: "Well, sorry, Al... But you have a kid!"

AJ: "You have a kid too! And you left him behind! We're the last two Outcasts, and our objective back then was to gather up as many people as we could, turn them into greasers, and put them under protection, is that right? So... Why not tell your second about this?"

*Hosea walks close to AJ and puts a hand on his shoulder. He then looks down, and wipes the bottom of his nose.*

Hosea: "I wasn't sure you were gonna say 'Yes'. And you might make a big deal and scandal out of this. But... If you're sure you want to come with, then I'm not stopping you."
