True Safe Haven

Starting first memory playback with: Diary entry of certain day

{June 15th}

So, journal? Remember the catastrophe catcher coils? The incident was apparently legit, five workers were electrocuted and put in a serious condition, and to prevent more incidents like this, the coil was shut down.

Everybody is panicking right now, and I took extra precautions about my base and whatnot. If a catastrophe got in here, it will cause a chain reaction by turning off the power, destroying pipelines, and collapse infrastructure. I have to prepare my base.

I started by boarding up the downstair windows with plywood, and just to be clear, the wood fits perfectly on the window frame. I'll be safe for when the catastrophe is a thunderstorm.

I tied all of my furniture together in case it's an earthquake, and took down my picture frames so they won't cause glass shard hazards when they fall - I removed the delicate memories and put them in my go bag, they're...important to me - and reinforced the windows and my two doors by locking them, barricading them with chairs, and putting a towel under the slit. Not to mention bringing all my supplies down, and gathered them all in the living room.

To list it all up, here's what I got: I got fifteen cans of food, and ten packets of instant ramen noodles, and five packs of mac and cheese. I have two charge powered flashlights, one huge battery powered one, and a faraday flashlight for emergencies. I also got what my nephew uses (Once again, he...didn't make it), he persuaded me on buying it. It's called a "Powerbank", and I should use it to charge whatever gadgets I have. It's actually pretty useful when your intention is hiking and you got lost. I got a first aid kit with me, with a bandage, painkillers, a thermal blanket, and anti-bacterial spray. I got a mini-one next to it as well, containing bandages and antihistamines (Who knows if my allergies worked up again. Fucking flowers, why did they made those?). I also got a water canteen (The type that keeps water cold and purified when taking from rivers), and a few water purifying tablets. I also have a firestarter kit, a foldable fishing rod, a sleeping bag, and finally, a two person tent. The tent can keep me dry, it comes with a waterproof tarp.

Now that I listed all of my essential supplies, I also need some protection, luckily, being a great hunter (Not bragging), I'm well suited for the woods, and its challenges. I used to hunt with my buddy, AJ, and a few cool guys who...probably didn't make it. I'm glad I took all of my stuff with me, and tricked the guards to let me keep it.

I'm gonna list what I got protection here: I got a 38. Special revolver, perfect for home defense, and a way to keep you relaxed while you sleep. I got a few bullets for it, better save one for myself. I got a hunting rifle, it's a Remington 700, modified greatly to fit a special forces agent's standards. A bipod, a scope with thermal and night vision, a laser sight, and an extended mag. You have no idea how many deers, does, bucks, bears (Yes, bears), moose (...or is it meese? ...mooses? ...moosi? I never asked AJ, he's too good at these type of things.), and things that are solid I've took down with myself, and my rifle. There are not many like it, so this one is mine. I got a trench knife I used for self-defence, for hunting and removing pelts, and to cut meat. I got a pair of brass knuckles from my old days as an enforcer for the mob, god I love these. I'm an excellent boxer, and sometimes mix it up with wrestling, but...both of those break my back. I'll decide upon what style should I use later. I got a lot more guns in my Uncle's cabin, including this shotgun which I found in Sweden. If I have that in my hands, I'll be unstoppable, while also making the others who found it first unstoppable.

That's all I could get, right now, I should contact AJ. I hope the reception is still up, and I hope he's okay.
