The Weapon

Emmie entered the kitchen but was quickly stopped in her tracks by a bearded man who was stood in front of her. She stepped back slowly away from him and into Fred, "ow, what are you doing?" He asked, she turned to him and quietly spoke, "Sirius Black... Sirius Black is right there... Why aren't you freaking out?"
"Oh I forgot about this," Fred replied, "he's not actually a murderer or anything, he's innocent and he's with us."
"Really?" Fred nodded, "oh."
Emmie turned back to Sirius, "erm hi," she smiled, "hello, what's your name?" Sirius asked, "that's Emmie, Fred's girlfriend," Mrs Weasley said, "oh no we're not -"
"Yep my girlfriend," Fred interrupted her, Emmie turned to him and mouthed "what?"
"I'll explain later," he whispered.

Emmie took a seat at the table with Fred, George, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Bill, Mr Weasley, Tonks, Lupin and Sirius, Mrs Weasley carried over a large cauldron of stew and started to ladle it on to everyone's plate.
Opposite Emmie, Tonks was entertaining Hermione and Ginny by transforming her nose between mouthfuls. Her nose swelled to a beak, shrank to the size of a button mushroom and then sprouted a great deal of hair from each nostril.
When they finished their stew, Mrs Weasley brought out pudding and, after three helping of rhubarb crumble and custard later, there was a lull in the general conversation: Mr Weasley was leaning back in his chair looking relaxed; Tonks was yawning widely, her nose now back to normal and Ginny, who had lured Crookshanks out from under the dresser, was sitting cross-legged on the floor, rolling Butterbeer corks for him to chase.
"Nearly time for bed, I think," said Mrs Weasley with a yawn.
"Not just yet, Molly," said Sirius, pushing away his empty plate and turning to look at Harry. "You know, I'm surprised at you. I thought the first thing you'd do when you got here would be to start asking questions about Voldemort."
The atmosphere in the room changed as if a Dementor had just flown through. Where seconds before it had been sleepy and relaxed, it was now alert, even tense.
"I did!" Said Harry, "I asked Ron and Hermione but they said we're not allowed in the Order, so -"
"And they're quite right," Mrs Weasley straightened up in her chair, "you're too young."
"Since when did someone have to be in the Order of the Phoenix to ask questions?" Asked Sirius, "Harry's been trapped in that Muggle house for a month. He's got the right to know what's been happen -"
"Hang on!" Interrupted George loudly.
"How come Harry gets his questions answered?" Asked Fred angrily.
"We've been trying to get stuff out of you for a month and you haven't told us a single stinking thing!" Said George.
"You're too young, you're not in the Order," said Fred in a high pitched voice that sounded uncannily like his mother's, "Harry's not even of age!"
"I think I'm going to go to bed," Emmie tried to speak over the shouting but they didn't hear her. She stood up and crept towards the door, "Emmie, bring Ginny with you," Mrs Weasley spoke, "why?" Ginny asked, "you're too young,"
"Fine!" Ginny yelled before standing up and storming past Emmie, "it's not fair!" They heard her shout.
Emmie walked upstairs and grabbed her bag out of the twins room and brought it into the room she was sharing with Ginny and Hermione, Ginny was lay on her bed staring at the ceiling. "The twins will tell me everything that happens down there and I'll tell you, don't worry," Emmie said as she sat on her bed to take her socks off, "thanks," Ginny said quietly.
As Emmie got changed into her pajamas she could still hear everyone shouting and arguing downstairs but it wasn't long before it went quiet and six pairs of feet could be heard coming up the stairs.
"I want you all to go straight to bed, no talking," she could hear Mrs Weasley say, "we've got a busy day tomorrow. I expect Ginny's asleep," Emmie looked over at Ginny who was indeed asleep, "so try not to wake her up."
She heard Mrs Weasley walking back downstairs as Hermione entered the bedroom, "hey," she whispered as she put her pajamas on, "hey," Emmie replied, "I'm just going to the bathroom,"
"Okay."
Emmie crept out of the dark room and out into the hallway where, instead of tiptoeing in the direction of the bathroom, tiptoed up a second flight of stairs to the twins room.
"Ready?" Fred asked her and she nodded and then, with a crack, all three of them were in another dark room, on something extremely uncomfortable.
"OUCH!"
"Keep your voice down Ron or mum will be back up here."
"You three just apparated on my knees!"
"Yeah, well it's harder in the dark."
The three of them leapt down from Ron's bed. "So got there yet?" Asked George eagerly.
"The weapon Sirius mentioned?" Said Harry, "what d'you reckon it could be?"
"Could be anything," said Fred.
"But there can't be anything worse than the Avada Kedavra Curse, can there?" Said Ron, "what's worst than death?"
"The Dementors Kiss is worst than death isn't it?" Emmie asked, "yeah but less efficient, anyway a Dementor is a well known thing, this weapon is a secret." Said Harry.
There was a pause as they wondered what horrors this weapon could perpetrate.
"So who d'you think's got it now?" Asked George.
"I hope it's our side," said Ron, sounding slightly nervous.
"If it is, Dumbledore's probably keeping it," said Fred.
"Where?" Asked Emmie, "Hogwarts?"
"Bet it is!" Said George, "that's where he hid the Philosopher's Stone."
"A weapon's going to be a lot bigger than the Stone, though!" Said Ron.
"Not necessarily," said Emmie.
"Shhh!" Fred whispered, half-rising from the bed, "listen!"
They fell silent, footsteps were coming up the stairs.
"Mum," said George and without further ado there was a loud crack and him, Fred and Emmie appeared in the twins room.
They listened out but Mrs Weasley hadn't stopped at Ron and Harry's room, she coming up to this room, "shit, I'm not supposed to be in here," said Emmie, "quick under the bed,"
She quickly crawled under the bed and lay on her stomach, she held her breath as Mrs Weasley entered the room to check on the boys, she took a few seconds before leaving again.
Emmie crawled back out, "so, now are you going to explain to me why your mum thinks we're still dating?"
"Yeah sorry about that... I just never told her," he whispered, "I just thought, there's no point now because we might date again."
