The Breakout

The Christmas holidays came to an end and Emmie was back at Hogwarts. She entered the Gryffindor common room to see Fred and George demonstrating their latest bit of joke shop merchandise.
"Headless Hats!" Shouted George as Fred waved a pointed hat decorated with a fluffy pink feather at the watching students, "two Galleons each, watch Fred, now!"
Fred swept the hat on to his head, beaming. For a second he merely looked rather stupid; then both hat and head vanished.
Several girls screamed but everyone else was roaring with laughter.
"And off again!" Shouted George, and Fred's hand groped for a moment in what seemed to be thin air over his shoulder and his head reappeared.
When Fred saw Emmie he went to put the hat on her head but she stopped him, "hey, seriously come here,"
They followed her to a table nearby where she placed a copy of The Daily Prophet down and pointed at the front page which read:

MASS BREAKOUT FROM AZKABAN
MINISTRY FEARS BLACK IS RALLYING POINT FOR OLD DEATH EATERS

The Ministry of Magic announced late last night that there has been a mass breakout from Azkaban.
Speaking to reporters in his private office, Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic, confirmed that ten high-security prisoners escaped in the early hours of yesterday evening and that he has already informed the Muggle Prime Minister of the dangerous nature of these individuals.
"We find ourselves, most unfortunately, in the same position we were two and a half years ago when the murderer Sirius Black escaped," said Fudge last night. "Nor do we think the two breakouts are unrelated. An escape of this magnitude suggests outside help and we must remember that Black, as the first person ever to break out of Azkaban, would be ideally placed to help others follow in his footsteps. We think it likely that these individuals, who include Black's cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange, have rallied around Black as their leader. We are, however, doing all we can to round up the criminals, and we beg the magical community to remain alert and cautious. On no account should any of these individuals be approached."

"Well that's just brilliant," said Fred sarcastically, "they better not bring the Dementors back here," George replied.
"Are you two not scared?" Emmie asked them, "us?" Fred asked, "scared?"
"You wish," said George, "we're hard as nails," Fred added raising his arms up and flexing his muscles.
Emmie scoffed, "right. Well at least my mum will believe me now."

Over the next few weeks Umbridge was sat in every single Divination and Care of Magical Creatures lesson with a clipboard and introduced a rule that banned teachers from giving students information that wasn't related to the subject they taught so that they couldn't speak about the Azkaban breakout. Of course Lee Jordan pointed out to Umbridge that she was not allowed to tell Fred and George off for playing Exploding Snap in the back of the class.
"Exploding Snap's got nothing to do with Defence Against The Dark Arts, Professor! That's not information relating to your subject!"
Although when Emmie next saw Lee, the back of his hand was bleeding rather badly.

Another few week passed and the talk of the school was The Quibbler, a small newspaper edited by Xenophilius Lovegood. Harry had done an interview for it about what had happened the year before, how Cedric died and how Voldemort returned and, although Umbridge banned the newspaper from the school, everyone was starting to believe Harry. Even Juniper approached Emmie in the Hufflepuff girls dorm one evening to apologize but Emmie simply told her to "piss off."
