Lily's POV

"So, what did they say?" Jack said as I walked back into waiting room where he was sat. 

"Just a bad stomach bug, I should be okay in a few days." I said with a fake smile. That's not what the doctor said. But I didn't have the heart to tell Jack what was actually said.

"That's great!" He replied pulling me into a hug. We left the doctors and got back into Jack's car. The car was silent and I was definitely overthinking everything that I had just been told. There was no way. 

"Could you drop me off at my apartment please?" I asked Jack, breaking the silence that filled the car.

"Oh do you want to stop at your apartment tonight? Cause I'll need to grab a few things fir-" Jack started but I stopped him.

"No Jack, I want to be alone tonight. I'm staying at my apartment. You're staying at home." I said kind of sharply. I didn't mean for it to come off that way though.

He didn't reply after that. Just continued to drive in silence.

"Jack, I'm sorry I snapped. I just want to be alone and I don't want you to end up getting ill. Not while you're recording and with all the interviews you have coming up." I lied with sorrow in my voice.

"Lils, it's okay, I understand. Call me if you need or want anything! I love you!" He replied, putting his hand on my thigh as we pulled up to my apartment.

"I love you too, see you later!" I replied, kissing his cheek and getting out of the car.

I ran up to my apartment and as soon as the door shut, I cried. I cried so much. There was no way this was all happening. How could we be so stupid?

I called the one person I needed more than anything right now. After a few rings she answered the call.

"Lily! I'm so glad you called, I have- are you crying? Lily, what's happened? Has something happened between you and Jack?" I heard Maddie say and I instantly started crying even more.

"I cant tell you over the phone. Are you busy? I need you to come to LA as soon as possible! I will pay for your flights and anything else. I just need someone!" I cried through the sobs that were escaping my mouth.

"Of course! I'll get the next flight out! I love you Lily! You'll be okay, just stay strong!" She replied with confusion tracing though her voice and hung up.

I was waiting at the airport for Maddie's flight. Soon enough she walked through the door and the sight of her made me cry. I could finally tell someone.

I ran into her arms and just cried.

"I don't know what to do Mads! We have to go home now! I need to tell you something life changing!" I said as I pulled her through the airport to my car.

There was definitely a tension in the car on the way to my apartment. I didn't say anything, just focused on driving. The radio was on but I wasn't listening. Just thinking. Thinking about how to tell Maddie.

We arrived at my apartment and Maddie put her things in the spare room.

"So what's the big news you have to tell me!" She said sitting on the sofa facing me.

"I don't know how to say this so I'm just going to have to say it. Maddie, I'm pregnant." I blurted out. I'd said it. I finally told someone.

"You're pregnant? But how? When? Where did this happen?" She asked confused.

"I don't know, about a month ago, Jack and I went back home and we did it and then again about a week later so it can only be from that. Mads, I don't wanna do this alone!" I stated as a tear rolled down my face.

"You won't be alone, you have Jack... Don't you?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"He doesn't know. He thinks I just have a bad stomach bug. I couldn't tell him. We're not even supposed to be together and now I'm fucking pregnant with his child. I can't hide that! There's no way I can hide a baby bump, let alone a child from anyone. David is going to have to know. I can say the dad was a non-existent ex or a one night stand so Jack won't get in any trouble with David. I'm probably going to have to quit my job too, I can't tour with a child. I have fucked everything up." I ranted to Maddie. It just all came out.

"No, you won't be alone! I can fly out and see you! I wouldn't miss my best friend being pregnant and you-" she started but I stopped her.

"Move to LA! You said yourself you've always wanted to move here! Please!!!!" I begged.

"Are you serious? I would love too!" She said excitedly! She pulled me into a tight hug!

"However, you have to tell Jack! David can wait, but he has to know!!"

She's right. He does have to know.
