Lily's POV
After our eventful day at the fair yesterday, we decided to just stay at home today. Isla still wasn't feeling great after throwing up yesterday and was up most of the night. We were all sat downstairs on the sofa. I was cuddled into one side of Jack and Isla was cuddled into the other side of him but she was drifting in and out of sleep. She was so tired, it was obvious.
Sydnie and Ava had gone shopping for a few hours as they both needed to get a few things and wanted to spend some time together since Sydnie was away at university most of the time.
"Sweetie, will you be okay to look after Isla for a few hours?" Jack's mother said rushing down the stairs in a panicked tone with her husband following behind her.
"Yeah, of course! Why though? Is everything okay?" Jack replied looking concerned.
"No, you're grandmother has been rushed to hospital and we have to go to make sure she's okay and to keep your grandfather company. She should be okay but I'll call you if anything changes. There's money on the side if you need any but you shouldn't. I love you and I'll see you later!" She said as she left the house in a big hurry.
It was around 11:30 in the morning and Isla was starting to feel better. The colour had come back into her cheeks and she was a lot more talkative. Jack's parents had been gone for about an hour but we hadn't heard anything from them yet. I hope she's okay but no news is good news I guess.
"What do you want to do today?" Jack asked Isla who was now sitting up eating a snack. She was definitely feeling better now which was really great.
"Can we just watch movies all day?" Isla replied. If I'm being honest, that sounds like a perfect day! Cuddling on the sofa, watching films and eating snacks!
"That sounds like a great idea! I definitely think we should do that!! I'll get some snacks!" I said cheerfully, getting off the couch and heading to the kitchen to find some things we could eat while watching the films.
I grabbed a bowl and emptied a bag of popcorn into it. I grabbed some sweets and a few chocolates and walked back into the living room where Isla and Jack were looking for a film to watch.
"Have we decided what we're watching yet?" I asked sitting on the couch next to Jack. He wrapped his arm round me and pulled me closer. He gave me a quick kiss on the forehead which caused me to smile.
"How about high school musical?!" Isla shouted.
"Definitely!!! That's my all time favourite film!!! The third one is definitely the best!" I said excitedly.
Jack agreed, but he didn't really have a choice. He clicked play and we all got ready to watch the first high school musical! We sang along to all the songs and Jack and I even sang Breaking Free as a duo. It may have been cringe but it was very cute!
During the second film, Isla fell asleep in Jack's lap. He was so good with her. You could tell they had a very special bond. He absolutely adored her, and she adored him too.
It just made me miss my siblings even more. I know I was seeing them in 6 days but I missed them so much. I just wished I was seeing my parents too, but that cant happen. I think Jack could see my facial expressions change.
"You okay sweetheart?" He asked as he wrapped his arm round me tighter.
"Just thinking." I replied.
"Wanna talk about it?" He said with a hint of worry in his voice.
"I just wish my parents were here." I stated, looking down. I didn't wanna ruin our day and I wasn't going too. That was the last thing I wanted to do.
"They would be so proud of you!" Jack said kissing my forehead. I felt a tear roll down my face so I quickly wiped it away.
Isla soon woke up just as High School Musical 3 was starting. About 10 minutes later, Sydnie and Ava came back home after being shopping all day. They put their things in their room and came to watch the film with us.
The music of Can I Have This Dance started playing and I immediately got up.
"Dance with me!" I shouted and I grabbed Jack's hand and pulled him up to dance with me. He didn't have a choice. He was dancing with me.
"Take my hand, take a breath
Pull me close and take one step
Keep your eyes locked on mine
And let the music be your guideWon't you promise me (now won't you promise me, that you'll never forget)
We'll keep dancing (to keep dancing)
Wherever we go nextIt's like catching lightning, the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do
And with every step together, we just keep on getting better
So can I have this dance? (Can I have this dance?)
Can I have this dance?"As the music played, Jack and I danced round the living room. Our eyes never left each others. We continued to dance until the song had finished and I had never felt happier. The song ended and Jack pulled me into the tightest hug ever.
"Wow, you two are so in love!" Sydnie said fake gagging then getting up and walking to the kitchen. We laughed and Jack and I sat back down. I have never been more in love with someone. Jack is the only person I've ever loved.
Just as the film was ending, Jacks parents walked into the house.
"How is she?!" Jack asked as everyone turned to face them.
"She's okay, she's at home and she's resting!" His mom explained with a small smile forming on her face.
That's such good news!
Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me away from everyone.
"Get ready and meet me downstairs in an hour! We're going on a date!" He said with a smile.
"Okay... But what should I wear?!" I asked.
"Something comfy!" He replied...
And with that, he walked away...
