Lily's POV
Today's the day I start my new job! I'm a photographer and I've finally been hired to professionally take photos. The only problem is, I have had to travel over 2000 miles to LA but I will get to live out my dream and travel the world. The money is excellent and I even get an apartment to stay in that my manager pays for. I'm the new photographer for the boyband Why Don't We so I will get to travel on their tours with them. However, I've been given one very important rule from their manager that I must follow...
I was sat in a waiting area outside my new managers office so that I could hand him the contract that I had signed, agreeing to all the conditions. I was also going to be meeting the boys and spending some time with them.
I was scratching my arm nervously. It's my worst habit. I do it all the time when I'm nervous or stressed. It can get quite bad. To the point where I make myself bleed, not purposely of course.
"Lily?" David, their and now my manager, asked me. I looked up nodding. I was wearing a light blue t-shirt dress that finished just above my knees and my white vans. You could see the obvious scratch marks on my arms and I didn't have a jacket to cover them with. Great.
"So, I'm guessing you've read the contract and agreed to it?" David asks. "Yes, of course." I reply nervously following him to his office. "So how old are you, just to make sure?" He asks. "I'm 20." He looks shocked. I soon hear a group of boys shouting and laughing in his office. We're almost there. I hear a lot of laughing and joking and walk in.
"Lily, I want you to meet the boys. This is Corbyn, Jack, Jonah, Daniel and Zach. Boys, this is Lily, your new photographer." David introduces and points to them individually. I smile at them and say hi quietly while giving them a small smile. Jack and I immediately make eye contact and I feel butterflies bursting in my stomach. Oops.
"Well, I have a few things to sort out but why don't you guys go and get to know each other or take some photos so I can see how you guys get along." David suggests. We all agree and make our way out to the streets of LA. "So, do you guys have any places you wanna take photos? Or places you think would be cool?" I ask as we leave the office. "There's a place not far from here that has some really cool walls we could use." Jonah says. We all nod and agree and I follow them out of the building.
"So tell us about yourself!" Jack says. "What do you wanna know?" I reply shyly. "Anything really, where you're from, you're family, you know, stuff like that."
"Erm, I'm from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. I ha-" "You're from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania too?" Jack interrupts me. "Born and raised, from that reaction, I'm guessing you are too. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I've been doing photography for like seven years now. I started when I was 13 and I'm 20 now."
"Yeah, I'm from Susquehanna too, my family still live there, I still see them quite regularly, well when we have breaks but obviously us guys all live in LA now. We all live in a house together." Jack replies.
We got to the photoshoot location and it was so cool! I took some awesome photos of the boys all together and I took some individual photos too, for their personal instagram accounts. The boys are great fun to hang out with, they were being serious at first but they slowly got weirder as we got more comfortable with each other. I think I'm really going to enjoy this job!
