Y/N's POV:
"Who is that?" Wanda asks. I'm still in shock unable to move or turn around.
"It's Sara," Nat whispers. Wanda rubs my back showing me she's there for me. Slowly I turn around and see her face. How is she here? Am I dreaming? Is this real?
"You look good," Sara says nervously. I just stare at her in shock.
"I think you owe her an explanation," Nat demands taking my hand.
"There were some awful people after me. They said that if I didn't help them then they'd come after you. So I went to Tony asking for his help to keep you safe and protected. We realised the only way to do that was to kill them or make it so they couldn't find me. So I faked my own death. I couldn't tell you they were watching us all the time. Your grief had to look real. While I was away I found them and Tony helped me put them away. We caught the final guys yesterday so I could come home to you," she explains.
"You knew?" I ask Tony my own hurt choking me. He nods ashamed.
"This isn't happening. I watched you die. I called your name. You didn't  respond because you were dead. I spoke at your funeral. I grieved for you. I tore myself apart and you were alive. I tried to... how could you? I could've helped you. I'm finally getting to a place when I'm happy again and you come back to destroy it all. I can't do this right now. I can't be here," I ramble trying to make sense of something that can't.
"Please let me explain," she begs. I shake my head taking Wanda and Nat's hand leading them back to my room.

⚠️TW: Mention of attempted Suicide.

Sitting on the bed in complete shock Wanda just holds me as Nat strokes my hair. After half an hour or so I start to process what had just happened.
"I'm sorry," I apologise to my girlfriends.
"What for?" Wanda asks.
"For this, ruining our trip away. I don't know why this happened  but I want to assure you this does not change anything for me. I want to be with both of you 110%," I assure them.
"You didn't ruin our trip. It was wonderful. What were you going to say when you said I tried to?" Nat inquires.
"Things got really dark about a month after the funeral. I'd isolated myself from everyone. I didn't leave my room. I was severely depressed. I just couldn't see a way out. I took some pills and ended up in hospital getting my stomach pumped. They checked me into a rehab facility and I went to therapy then I moved in with Tony," I explain. Wanda starts crying and hugs me tightly.
"Please don't cry I'm so much better now. And a lot of that is down to both of you. You both saved me," I reassure Wanda wiping her tears. Nat kisses me gently.

There's a knock at the door. I get up to answer it and it's Tony. Immediately I see red and punch him in the face. Nat and Wanda pull me off him before I can hit him again. Wanda hugs me and I start to calm down.
"I did it to protect you," he says standing up.
"Bullshit Tony," I shout.
"It's the truth. I saved you so did she. She deserves for you to hear her out," he reasons.
"No you didn't Tony. The doctors saved me. My two beautiful girlfriends saved me. All you did was throw money at the issue as you do with everything else. I just can't see you right now," I yell.
He sighs leaving without saying another word.
"I'm sorry. You must think I'm awful," I sigh holding my head in my hands.
"Honestly I think you're reaction was pretty healthy. Personally I would've gone for the Crown Jewels," Nat says trying to lighten the mood making me smile slightly. I look at Wanda for any sign of fear. She kisses me reassuring me.
"He deserved it," she adds.

There's another knock at the door. Nat answers it this time.
"Hi is Y/N in there?" Sara asks.
"She is but she doesn't want to talk to you," I reply from behind Nat.
"You should listen to what she has to say. It may give you some comfort," Wanda encourages me. Damn those Maximoff eyes.
"Fine," I agree. Nat opens the door wider and sits back down next to me. Sara looks at Wanda and Nat.
"They're not going anywhere so either you talk with them here or you leave. I think you've gotten pretty good at that so it shouldn't phase you," I snark.
"I had to do it for your safety. They knew everything about you. I couldn't do what they wanted me to, it meant betraying everything I stand for. They wanted the super soldier serum. I had no choice but to fake my death and work out every person who had ties to the threats. Your brother is the reason I'm still alive. He protected us both. Don't blame him," she half explains.
"These just sound like excuses. You could've told me what was happening. I could've helped you instead of grieving. Having to deal with funeral arrangements, selling our apartment, contacting our family and friends to tell them the news and having to sell the engagement ring I had bought for you. You clearly didn't love me enough to trust me," I reply angrily.
"You were going to propose?" She asks sadly.
"I was but it's becoming abundantly clear you didn't love me as much as I thought. You know I tried to end it. He had to put me in a facility that's how destroyed I was losing you. While you were sneaking around playing spy I was having a mental breakdown. Tell me Sara was it worth it?" I inquire.
"To keep you safe yes. Even if you hate me at least you're safe that's how much I love you Y/N. I won't stop fighting for you," she states stepping towards me.
"I don't want you to. I'm so happy with women who share everything with me who have never lied or hurt me. I'm glad you're ok and alive but that's it. You've hurt me beyond repair," I explain.
"Look me in the eye and tell me you don't love me," she challenges me. Nat stands up getting between us.
"That's enough. You've said your piece and she's said hers. Let it just sink in. She's asked you to leave and you should respect that," Nat states clearly.
"I was always right about you Romanoff. You always wanted her but you were never enough for her. I mean you're having to share her," she mocks Nat. I stand up pulling Nat away.
"How dare you talk to my girlfriend like that. No I don't love you. Nat is more than enough. She's the most loyal, kind and caring person I know. Now sincerely get out," I demand.
"Loyal? Really? She saw me 5 months ago at a bar in Miami. Did she tell you that?" She smirks before leaving.
