What's the number one perk of being close friends with the owner of a bar? No, it's not the free drinks like Changmin claims. It's having the front (and best) seats in the house reserved only for you.

And at Sangyeon's bar — a business that he managed himself since first year of college — sitting at the front seat gives you the best view of the singers performing every night. It's very admirable of Sangyeon to do, really. He personally looks for college students and struggling musicians to perform at the bar's mini stage, offering them a part time job that comes with a decent salary and free drinks. And despite having no interests in ballads and country songs, Juyeon still comes at the bar religiously, making himself listen to hours of songs that he knows he will never search on Spotify or even remember the next day. He's doing it not because Sangyeon is his friend or Kevin is one of the performers, but because of something — or rather, someone else.

Every Wednesdays and Fridays, at the center of the stage, stands a lean, blonde male just about Juyeon's age. He's breathtaking, with the way the neon lights shine on his face and with the shy smile he wears whenever the audience claps. Whenever he introduces himself — Chanhee, a very pretty name for a very pretty boy like him — Juyeon finds himself focusing all of his attention to the boy on stage. Whenever he starts to sing, his ears block every other sound that isn't his voice.

They lock eyes every once in a while, and Juyeon has to subtly pinch himself to prevent himself from doing something stupid or awkward (like dumbly saying 'hi' while the other boy was singing. Changmin heard him and snorted, asking the older if he knows that Chanhee is unable to greet him back). Juyeon thinks that Chanhee is cute, but there's nothing more to it.

"Really?" Changmin had asked when Juyeon told him that. "Nothing more to it? When you always look like you're ready to put a ring on his finger every single time he's on stage?"

Juyeon raises his hand to object, "It's not—". Changmin shoots him an unimpressed look.

Okay, maybe there's more to it than just wanting Chanhee as a friend.

But why bother? It's not like Juyeon has a chance anyway. Hell, is Chanhee even interested in boys? If yes, then he probably has a boyfriend already. A face like that probably has tons of people begging on their knees already. The best thing he can get from his infatuation with the blonde is by being his friend.

Kevin hums. "You want me to introduce him to you?"

"What?"

"Chanhee." Kevin walks away from him to pack the guitar he used for his performance. "He and I have been hanging around lately — as friends, don't worry. I can give you his number or I can set you guys up an appointment for lunch."

Juyeon thinks about it. Eating dinner at a fancy romantic restaurant with Chanhee. Talking at wee hours of the night about random things with Chanhee. That doesn't sound so bad, until he remembers that he has to introduce himself first before he can even (possibly) reach all that stage. And Juyeon, who always disliked introducing himself every year in class, dreads the introduction stage.
