sunwoo doesn't always like skinship.

whenever people hug or even merely touch him, he immediately backs off. even his boyfriend haknyeon is no exception. he hates the idea of skins touching with each other, may it be unintentional or out of affection. so it's not surprising that skinships initiated by him only happens once in a blue moon. but today, it seems like he'll do the unusual once again.

haknyeon has been down for the past few days. there will be times that he'll just space out and then cry. no matter how many times sunwoo asks him what's the matter, he won't say anything. not even food or hugs from changmin can cheer him up, and sunwoo badly wants to make him smile.

today haknyeon is lying on sunwoo's bed, scrolling through his social media account. he watches the older break out on small, sad smiles whenever he sees something funny on his phone. but sunwoo knows that no matter how many times haknyeon smiles, he's still dying on the inside and he hurts him to know that nothing can cheer him up. every way that can possibly cheer him up turns to vain— but there might be one last way to turn his frown upside down.

sunwoo walked to the side of the bed and laid down beside him. he leaned his head to the older and joined him in watching the videos on his phone.

"do you wanna sleep?" he softly asked him and the latter nodded. haknyeon turned off his phone and placed it on the bedside table before laying down comfortable next to him.

sunwoo fixed his position so that his head will be higher than haknyeon, while snakeing his arms around the older's waist. he buried his face on haknyeon's hair as he softly drew circles on the part of his body that his hand touches.

haknyeon in turn wrapped his arms around him and the two cuddled in silence. sunwoo looked out for haknyeon's breathing, as it became slower and slower. thinking that he's already asleep, sunwoo whispered. "if you have any problems, you know you can always tell me, right?"
but it seems like haknyeon heard what he said, for sunwoo felt the arms around him hug him tighter. the younger just smiled and continued caressing the older's back, all while whispering comforting words to him.

haknyeon heard everything sunwoo said, and for the first time this week, he finally felt relief and comfort. he forgot everything that has been bothering him and just succumb to sunwoo's cuddle and words. for the first time this week, he finally felt safe. and all it took was comfort from the person he loves the most.
