It's nearing midnight when Changmin is woken up with a shrilling ring — the ringtone of his phone blaring throughout the previously silent bedroom. The clock says it hasn't been long since he slept, and Changmin curses at himself for forgetting to turn his phone off before drifting to dreamland.

But maybe it was for the best, anyway, because the right side of the bed is still neat. It still lacks the creases that only a weight laid upon it would've made. It still lacks Younghoon.

And it's not something he should be surprised about; Younghoon tends to drink until dawn when he and his friends get together. Changmin never worries for he knows that his fiancé is in great hands. He'll usually wake up to Juyeon's or maybe Hyunjae's sheepish smile as they drag a sleeping Younghoon to their couch.

With eyes still half asleep, Changmin grabs his phone from the bedside table. The photo of them together during their latest anniversary dinner greets him the moment he opens his phone. Changmin smiles.

"Hoonie?"

"Baby!" The smile on Changmin's face widens when he hears the older man greet him, slurred and pouting. "I missed you."

Changmin laughs. "I miss you too, baby. Are you having fun?"

He hears the loud music from the other end of the line, accompanied by some clinking of glass. He hears a couple of girls chatting faintly in the background, but Changmin doesn't find the need to worry.

"Definitely! Jaehyun got promoted so we're drinking moooore than usual."

Changmin nods. He hasn't said much but he can already feel his throat drying, prompting him to rise up and head into the kitchen to get a glass of water. "Tell him that I say congratulations." He says, and Younghoon hums a "will do!" over the line. "Is there any other reason why you called me, baby? Are you about to go home now?"

There's a pause from the other end and Changmin worries for a second about what's happening at the bar Younghoon is in. "Hoonie?"

"I've been thinking," The other man starts.

"Hm?"

"When we get married, I want it to be by the shore. You have dyed your hair blue, and I think it'll perfectly match the waves. I can already imagine it... You'll be the prettiest person there, only mine to hold, to hug, to kiss, to say my vows. And I'll be yours. We'll kiss in front of your parents and mine, our friends, our family. Thinking about it makes me so excited."

Changmin can't fight back the smile that's making its way to his lips when he hears Younghoon's words. His blue hair has long been gone, and he dreaded that color, but what his fiancé said made him want to bring it back.

He leans on the counter, a glass of water in his grip. "Oh, yeah? We should talk to the wedding coordinator soon, then. What do you want the color theme to be?"

Younghoon giggles adorably. "I don't care about the other details! Everything is going to be perfect because I'm marrying you. All I can think about right now is me and you by the shore. I really miss you, baby."
