"y/n! i like you!"

everyone looked at you teasingly as eric's loud voice filled the entire room. your friends who are sitting beside you nudged you while wearing a stupid smile in their faces.

you annoyingly looked at the very back of the classroom, where eric is sitting with his friends. "thanks. i like myself too."

this time the attention is all on eric, for his friends are teasing him that he just got rejected.

"i don't get you, y/n. THE eric that is every girl's crush likes you. why can't you give him a chance?" you heard your friend ask.

"i agree. you guys will look perfect together, i can already tell." another one added.

you looked at your friends in disbelief. "really guys? you really think eric likes me? did you two already forgot the fact that eric is playful and has a weird way of thinking? for all i know he's just messing with me."

your friend just shook her head. "if you say so."

"hi y/n! i know you skipped breakfast again so i made you a sandwich." eric approached you while holding a ziploc filled with two sandwiches.

"how the heck did you even know that i skipped my breakfast?" you asked as you received the food.

eric smiled. "i just knew. anyway, see you later. always remember that i like you!"

eric's last words made you smile and your cheeks blush and you slapped yourself upon realizing.

he's been taking care of you for weeks now and you can say that you two became close friends. you even let him in your house, where he introduced himself as your boyfriend to your parents which earned him a punch from you.

he never fails to say that he likes you everytime you two part ways and now without even knowing, you fell for him too. and that is a bad thing.

you still believe that he's only toying with you, and you know that you'll lose if you fall for him. eric is eric afterall and for him, making people fall for him is just a game.

"you know i really like you right?" eric said while you two sit together in a café while waiting for his and your friends.

you nodded. "and i like-"

"-myself too." he finished off the sentence for you, even copying the tone of your voice.

you laughed and punched him softly.

"why can't you like me back?" eric's sudden question made you stop laughing and you just looked at him, confused.

"because you don't really like me at all." you said and this time, it was eric's turn to be confused. "i know that you liking me is just a joke, so you can drop the act already now."

eric's face darkened, and for a second it made you scared. "so all along you think my feelings for you is just a joke?" he stood up to leave, and panic filled your body. you stood up and followed him to the door, but his feet are very fast.

"that's what i thought at first, but now i like you too!" you quickly covered your mouth, for the words you let out were rather loud and now everyone in the café is looking at you.

eric stopped on his tracks and looked at you with surprise. "you do...?" he asked.

you did not mind everyone's stares and nodded with your eyes close and your face red from embarassment.

"it's not a joke, right?" he asked once again and you let out a soft 'yes'.

eric's surprised face was slowly replaced with a huge smile as he walked closer to you and held your hand. "y/n! i like you!" he said brightly and you can't help but copy the expression on his face.

"and i like you too."
