"Have you ever been in there before?" I asked Cato about the hall. "Yeah, I've been for parties before and a couple of the mayor's dinners. Have you?" Cato said about the mayor's dinners. "Yes this will be my second time while its Roy's first. You must have originally been pretty rich." I said about it. "Yeah I'll show you my old house one of the days. When I come to 14 again you can show me yours." Cato said as I nodded, unsure as his house would be massive while in mine they all slept in the same room. We heard our names being announced so we all positioned ourselves behind the door. Soon enough the doors opened and I was blinded by the lights.

I tightened my grip on Roy's and Cato's hands. I looked around it was a grand room. When everyone caught sight of my dress they all gasped at its beauty. Cato and Roy tightened their grip protective as all the boys looked as though they wanted me. Cato, Roy and I greeted as many people as we could. "Come on, you have to meet my family." Cato said excitingly. I chuckled and nodded my head. Cato led Roy and I to a table where they were all sat. "Hello, I would like you all to meet Ruth... and her best friend." Cato said before muttering the last part as they all smiled warmly at us. "Ruth and Roy meet my mother, father, my little annoying brother called Viktor and then my cute twin sisters Katelyn and Rosie." Cato continued to said. "Hello it's nice to finally meet you, you're all he ever talks about." His mother said making me blush and Cato groan. "It's great to finally meet you too." I said to them. "You're beautiful, I like your dress." His younger twin sister who was Katelyn said. "We're twins." Rosie remarked. "Rosie I've already told her that." Cato said kindly to her. I bent down to her height. "I'm a sister too. Don't listen to him he's just jealous because he's not like us." I said smiled as the two girls giggled and pulled a faced at Cato.

"Ruth don't teach them bad habits. I know what you're like." Roy said about our bad habits. "What, awesome, pretty and the best victor alive?" I said laughing a bit. "You're not very good with kids are you?" Viktor said and I looked at him. "What's that supposed to mean." I asked him a bit harshly. "What children have you ever had to bring up?" He asked again and I could feel my temper rising. "My own sisters." I said about my sisters. "Please you helped out by winning your first games." Viktor said about my first game. "That's not true. I took tesserae because we didn't have any money and we were slowly starving to death. My 2nd younger sister and I saved our own family. You don't understand. I'm only wealthy because I was put into an arena of slaughter and killed innocent people." I said keeping a calm steady voice when really I wanted to scream at him.

I felt Roy's arm around my waist tighten. "Viktor that's enough. You haven't been to 14, you don't know how bad it is." Cato said as his voice was rising and I could hear the anger. I turned to his mother and father with a small smile on my face. "I have a present for you all maybe I could come round tomorrow morning to give it to you." I asked about tomorrow as his mother who was already in love with me smiled. "You may. I'm sorry for my son's behaviour." She said about Viktor. "It's okay. Cato, Roy, dinners about to be called we should go and sit down." I said as Roy and Cato looked at me surprised and nodded. "We'll see you tomorrow then." Katelyn and Rosie said happily. "Of course, girls." Cato said to his sisters. "Not you, Ruth." They said and Cato looked down at them shocked while Roy and I smirked. "Yes, yes you will." I said as Roy was laughing. They started to walk in the direction of their table. "I'm sorry about my brother his girlfriend's brother was the boy from 2 in your games. Even though he actually does have a crush on you but his girlfriend most likely told him to. She's always bossing him around." He said as he smiled at me. "But the rest of them love you, especially the girls. You never told me you were good with children." Cato continued to say to me.

"I'm not but I know what it's like to have younger sisters you love so very dearly." I said about sisters. The rest of the evening went off without a hitch and we all walked to the Victor Village. Roy, Joan, Clive and I would be sharing one house while the prep teams and stylists would share another. Cato and I stood in the middle bidding each other goodnight. "I've enjoyed today. It's been good." I said smiling at him. "What's been your favourite thing?" He said as he smirked at me. "I don't know yet. But I should go. It's late and we're going out tomorrow." I said about it. "Yeah I'll miss you. I'll be lonely by myself." He said with a mischief glint in his eyes. "Yeah well it's only 1 night." I said as I kissed him on the cheek before walking to my door. "Goodnight Cato." I said, opened the door and disappeared from his sight. Cato P.O.V. I smiled to myself before entering my own house. I was met by mom and dad by the door with none of my siblings close by. "I'm surprised you're here, thought you would be with Ruth!" mom said as she wiggled her eyebrows. "Mom! No don't ever do that again. I'll see her in the morning. Even if its with her stupid best friend." I said about Roy. "Oh just go over there Cato don't worry about us. We've survived 11 days without you I think we can survive a night." Dad said about the trip and the game. I smiled at my mother before going upstairs to change. I put on some grey jogging bottoms and a white t-shirt before walking downstairs and popped my head around the corner. "I'll see you in the morning." I said as they both smiled at me and shouted goodbye. I walked across the square and climbed up to her room.
