"We go to the C.C.C? And ask them?"
"Unlikely. You know how they are." Romulus said.
"We can try. I have already requested their presence." Raven explained.
"Yeah, and they ignored it." Nadine said.
"It doesn't matter if they ignored it or not, we have to try. This could be our last chance in saving him. I'm with you, Raven. Let's go."
We left the room and began to prepare for our journey.
"How far is it?" I asked her.
"Toronto. It's about a forty hour drive."
"Forty! We don't have forty hours! Can we do a transporting spell?"
"We can, but it will take up all my magical energy. Especially that the sun is up right now." She said.
"Please, we have to do it."
"Alright, fine. But we won't be able to use magic for anything else. I'll transport us there, and you'll transport us back."
I nodded in agreement. Raven put on her thick jacket and began to draw a charcoal circle inside by the stairs.
"We'll clean this up when we get back, hope your dad doesn't mind." She said on her knees.
She finished the circle and held a crystal in her hands. We stood in the circle and watched it illuminate as we wrapped our hands around it.
"Think of where you want to go. We want to go to the C.C.C."
I didn't know where that was exactly, so I thought of details I remembered about them. I remember the fairy's pointed ears, the witch's axe.
I felt the room spin and go dark. Raven gripped the crystal in her hand tightly.
We landed down on an alleyway by a bussing road. I could hear cars honk in the distance.
"Where are we?"
"Toronto. Follow me." She said.
We walked down the street of the city. The temperature was mild, the sky was cloudy. Busy people passed us by in the streets. It felt odd being around so many humans again after a year of forest solitude.
"The C.C.C. is located in the city?"
"Yes. They're hidden, but they're here."
"Why somewhere so public?"
"The C.C.C. was established shortly after Toronto was founded. They've always stayed here."
I followed her to a building that appeared to be a small court house. It looked clean and well kept. There were no cars parked outside of it.
"It looks like a regular government building." I said.
"What were you expecting?" She said.
"Don't know. A magic tree? A mansion in the middle of the woods?" I said.
We went inside. The floors and walls were soft whites. In the middle sat a desk with a receptionist.
"Hello, welcome to Hupert and Tabby law, how can I help you?" The man in a suit asked.
"Hello, I'm Raven Garcia. I'm a witch from a small coven in the south west."
With a flick of his wrist, he summoned a book that appeared on his desk.
"Raven Garcia. Yes, you're right here. And who is your friend?"
"Erin Tesla. Son of Ulrich. He's a wereolf." She explained.
