"How can we be together when you're getting crowned queen of The New Fright Zone?" Perfuma blurted out over danishes and herbal tea.

Scorpia wasn't into either and politely didn't touch them after sipping and tasting once. "We can work it out, Fumey. I still can't believe it either! It's so cool though. I'm taking back what's rightfully mine!"

Perfuma didn't care for that nickname. "You know how I feel about being called that." She twitched angrily. "Yes, I know and that's wonderful for you. Hordak lied and took it all from your people. Now that he's with Entrapta in Dryl you can find peace where you live now."

Scorpia knew, but still thought it was kinda cute. "We've been dating three months now. I know we can work things out." She REALLY wanted Perfuma to move in with her, but in her heart she knew she couldn't and wouldn't.

Perfuma shook her head. She always got frazzled so easily. "My own coronation is coming up in about seven months. I'll be twenty-one and I'll be queen of Plumeria. I'll have my duties and you'll have yours. Time won't be our friend."

"We love each other . . . right? We can make the time." Scorpia said coming over to her with a pink cap on the end of her stinger.

"It's gonna be really hard." Perfuma said as a tear slid down the right side of her face.

Their eyes met and warmly smiled at each other.

Perfuma closed her eyes as Scorpia kissed her softly, the way she liked it. She giggled as Scorpia's claw went gently up and down her back.

Someone loudly cleared their throat.

The girls pulled apart.

"So rude!" Scorpia whispered and kissed her girlfriend again.

"Hammish, is something wrong?" Perfuma asked a bit concerned.

The older man with a long pale yellow beard and squinted dark eyes said, "This."

Both women were stunned.

"You're gonna be queen and you're messing around with the one that's gonna be Fright Zone's new leader. She'll always be", he paused for only a second, "ONE OF THEM!"

Perfuma was so upset. "She's a good person. I trust her and that is her former life!"

Scorpia though looked to the ground. She knew that she would always have that reflection on her as a member of the Horde. The people that nearly destroyed Etheria. Even Mermista was afraid of her coming near Salineas. Even though Scorpia wore up and down she wasn't like that anymore. And Mermista was all (Hello, you WERE the one that put gem-like heat bombs around Frosta's castle at Princess Prom!)

Mermista had a huge trust issue with every person on Etheria except SeaHawk and her family. Along with Bow, Glimmer and Adora. She wanted to be Entrapa's friend, but then Hordak came back. Things changed very quickly.

Scorpia had been there, so had all the princesses and significant others. Shortly after having a party at the Bright Moon castle for Etheria being saved all of them had gone to Salineas. Yes, even Catra had gone that first time.

Only one week after Prime had gone away they had a party to celebrate Etheria's new future.

Mermista had confronted Catra at the party. She had asked WHY? to Catra with the most vulnerable tone in her voice at the time.

Catra had decided to be honest, "It was easy and because I could."

Mermista was grateful for Catra's honesty, but it didn't mean that she would ever be friends with her. Her soul was too broken to ever forgive the Horde for everything that they set fire to. The seagate was torn up and she needed She-Ra to repair it again.

She saw a doll floating in the water after all this time and picked it up. She knew it belonged to little Love Ellis.

"Hello?!" Perfuma said trying to get her attention.

Scorpia was pulled out of the memories and stood up. "They can't choose us only we can. Please stop fighting with him." Her eyes didn't see Hammish anywhere. "Sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts."

Hammish was long gone.

Perfuma took her hand. "Listen like I said, we're gonna make us work somehow. We love each other and we're forever."

Scorpia's tail swung behind her to pull her close. "Right. No matter what anyone else thinks we can balance our kingdoms and our love."

Perfuma giggled and kissed her girlfriend. "Here's to a bright and wonderful future for us."
