Angella: Hushed Lullaby

My greatest love, Micah, gave me a gift. A little girl named Glimmer Anne. She was born with the power of teleportation. That inherited power was passed down through Micah's grandmother, Faye.

It was ten years later when The Horde took him from me. I was horribly drowned by my grief to even notice anything around me. All I could think of was what I'd done to my husband. Sending him out to fight with the Rebellion and him being one of the first to perish.

It was weeks later when one of my guards, Mercy, asked if something was wrong with me. She'd seen me become sick. My symptoms were not just of depression. It included running to the restroom and losing my meals in the toilet.

I didn't even think of what could possibly be happening inside of me.

"Miss, may I ask you a question?" Mercy inquired with quite the concern.

"Of course you can." I had replied.

Her eyes took all of me then asked, "Are you with child?"

And I began to wonder,  Am I?

Soon it was confirmed. I indeed was with child once again. It gave me hope and the will to change my grief to happiness. Though Micah was never far from my thoughts.

All of this time and I've never even told Glimmer the truth. I had lost her sister or brother a few days after that. I had fallen very ill and told my staff to tell my ten year old that I had gone to Mystacor to see Castaspella, Micah's sister.

I did not want that little angel to see mommy like that.

The illness almost took my life, but a savior came to mend me back to health.

To this day I still look to the sky and talk to them.

A sweet little hushed lullaby I never got to see or sing to. And  my dear husband my heart aches for daily.

I know in time we will meet again. Until then I'll hold Glimmer tightly and tell her how much I love her. Maybe one of these days it won't hurt too much and I'll tell her of the child I lost. We can bond over the memories and the could have been.
