"WAKE UP!" - ???
"AHHHH!" I fall out of bed at the sound of the noise. Looking up, I see Trixie with her arms crossed.
"As a punishment for your little escape attempt last night, we demand that you cook us breakfast!" - Trixie
"Cook you breakfast? S-sure."
"Let's go to the kitchen!" - Trixie
I follow Trixie back to the kitchen. I'm still feeling a bit groggy, but at least now I confirmed that they're really not vampires. No vampire would need me to cook them breakfast.
Thank god they're stopped with that nonsense.
"W-what the heck is that?!" As soon as I enter the kitchen. I see a mysterious pot filled with red liquid near the stove.
"Blood. What else?" - Hailey
Xaxxy and Hailey are seated near a small table. Trixie takes her place beside them.
"Good morning, Rexer!" - Xaxxy
"Hurry up and heat our breakfast so we can get started." - Trixie
I take a baby steps towards the pot. It appears to be frozen blood.
T-this can't be!
Taking my finger, I scrape it along the surface of the strange goo and put it in my mouth.
"Gross!" I spit the stuff out as quickly as possible.
It really is blood! T-they're not kidding! These girls are really vampires!
"Hey! Don't eat our breakfast!" - Trixie
"Just turn up the heat and get it simmering, Rexer." - Hailey
"That's right. I'm sooo hungry!" - Xaxxy
I look at them and see the gleaming fangs again.
O-oh crap!
I turn the stove up and start to heat up the blood.
"Looks like you've finally realized that we're not joking about being vampires." Trixie laughs evilly. "What's the matter? Are you scared?"
I clear my throat. Despite my legs shaking, I pretend as if I'm not scared to death of them. "Of course not, Trixie. In fact, I happen to like vampires."
Trixie frowns as I grin at her. "Stop trying to act tough."
"It's not an act." I saunter closer towards them.
"Really, Rexer? You really like vampires?" - Xaxxy
"That's right, Xaxxy, I've been attracted to them ever since I was a kid."
Xaxxy blushes. "Oh my! I've never met someone who found vampires like us attractive."
I force myself to laugh. "That's the stupidest thing ever! What's to be nervous about?"
"How about the fact that we're bloodsucking carnivores who find humans tasty?" - Hailey
I shake off her comment. "Oh, you're just acting according to your nature. There's nothing scary about that."
Hailey, Trixie and Xaxxy look at each other, surprised.
"I may have misjudged you, Rexer." - Hailey
"That's right. We thought you were just some scared little kid." - Xaxxy
"I still think that's a case." - Trixie
"Don't worry. We all make mistakes. You can't judge a book by it's cover!"
"T-that's right." - Hailey
Good. I've got them all talking. Now time to find out what they're weaknesses are.
"But you know what's really scary though."
"Hmm.. What?" - Xaxxy
"A crucifix!" I pull out an old keychain crucifix from my pocket and hold it up to Xaxxy's face.
D-did it work?
Xaxxy laughs. "That? That's not scary at all!"
So, religious icons don't work on them.
