AT LACEY'S HOUSE:
Lacey is making supper for herself and Anna. She texted that she was on her way ten minutes ago so she should be there any second.
Lacey is also playing music as she cooks. Ryan didn't like it when she would because then he "couldn't hear the tv". So now she's blasting Sour by Olivia Rodrigo from her speaker. As she listens to the words, she doesn't feel sad about Ryan leaving anymore. If she feels sorry, she feels sorry for him because he left such a great woman.
She's head nodding to Good 4 U because the beat makes her want to dance.
Then Anna knocks on the door and let's herself in.
Lacey jumps a bit because she didn't know she was here yet. She turns off the music and greets Anna.

LACEY:
Oh my god! You scared me. Hi!

ANNA:
Oh I'm sorry. Good music though.

LACEY:
Ha, thanks.

ANNA:
So I have wine. And I also brought a little box I made and painted.

Anna shows Lacey the box. She opens it and inside there are a pair of earrings.

LACEY:
Oh my gosh. Are those for me?

Anna smiles at Lacey's reaction.

ANNA:
Yep.

LACEY:
I love them. Thank you.

Lacey takes the box from her and sets it down on the dining room table.

ANNA:
I picked them up on my way over. I'm glad you like them.

LACEY:
I really do. Thank you.

Lacey gives Anna a hug. They both hold on for a while. Lacey finally let's go.

LACEY:
Okay well I'm making some chicken. I hope you like that?

ANNA:
Oh yes I do.

LACEY:
Good.

They both stare into each other's eyes again. Reliving the moment when they almost kissed last time.
Lacey walks over to the kitchen to tend to the food.

LACEY:
Make yourself comfortable. I'm also making some peas. They aren't from the garden sadly but I think they'll be good enough.

ANNA:
I'm sure they will.

Anna takes off her coat and shoes. She sets her coat over a dining room chair.

ANNA:
I like your house. It has a nice rustic look that I like.

LACEY:
Thank you. Me and my, uh, husband bought it when we got married. Seven years ago.

Lacey can tell that that made Anna a little uncomfortable. But Anna just smiles and glances around.

LACEY:
So, supper should be ready very soon.

Anna walks into the kitchen and looks through Lacey's cabinets.

ANNA:
Where are your plates, cups, and silverware?

Lacey points at each cupboard

LACEY:
Um, right there, there, and there.

Anna grabs all the stuff and sets it out nice and neat on the table. She then grabs the napkins and starts to fold them into little hearts. She sets them neatly on the plates.

LACEY:
Oh, wow Anna I love that. That's awesome. Where'd you learn to do that?

ANNA:
My mom. When I was in middle school I was home schooled for a couple years and she taught me a bunch of things to fold with napkins.

LACEY:
Aw, that's really cool. Well, supper is ready.

Lacey carefully brings the food over to the table.

ANNA:
It looks good!

LACEY:
Good. Now let's just hope it tastes good.

They both chuckle.

ANNA:
Oh I'm sure it will.

They both sit down and dish up.
