IN LACEYS CAR
Lacey and Anna are driving to Liams school to pick him up. Anna is driving. Lacey plays with Anna's rings.

LACEY:
So, where are we going to get married?

ANNA:
Well, I was wondering if we could read vows and have our own little ceremony at Joshua Tree. It's only an hour away.

LACEY:
I would like that. Yeah, let's do that. Are we going to wear something nice?

ANNA:
Maybe you could wear that, um, that floral dress you have.

LACEY:
Anna I have many floral dresses.

ANNA:
Well, the one with the v-neck and shoulder sleeves.

LACEY:
Oh, that one. Sure. What about you? I know that you aren't a huge dress fan.

ANNA:
No, no I'm not. What if I wore a suit. Like a pantsuit.

LACEY:
Ooo, I think you'd look hot in a pantsuit.

Anna raises her eyebrows at Lacey.

LACEY:
But do you even have one?

ANNA:
I'm sure I have something I could dust off.

LACEY:
Mm okay. Can't wait to see it.

Anna pulls the car over at the school. Not long after that Liam hops in the back seat.

LACEY:
Hey bud, how was school?

LIAM:
It was good, mom. But the lunch was not good.

LACEY:
Spaghetti?

LIAM:
Yeah.

LACEY:
Well did you still eat something?

LIAM:
I suffered through the spaghetti. I also ate peas.

LACEY:
Well at least you ate something. And you ate a lot for supper last night so you shouldn't be too hungry.

ANNA:
I ate something too last night.

Lacey elbows Anna.

LACEY:
Anna!

ANNA:
What? It's the truth.

Lacey scoffs at Anna.
Liam doesn't get it.
