IN LACEYS CAR
Lacey is driving to pick up Liam from school. It's raining very hard. She can barely see the road.
All of a sudden she loses control of the car and spins and rolls into a ditch. She bangs her head on the steering wheel. Luckily the seatbelt did not break and the air bags went off. She landed upright in the car.
A car nearby pulls over and calls for an ambulance.

An ambulance arrived and Lacey is passed out in the drivers seat. The paramedics carefully get her out of the car and onto a stretcher. They load her up into the ambulance and drive off to the hospital.

AT THE HOSPITAL
Lacey is laying in the hospital bed with a bandage around her head and scratches all over her face, neck, and arms. A nurse is calling people in Lacey's phone to let them know what had happened.

NURSE:
Hello, I am a nurse at St. Edwards hospital, I am calling because Lacey McKay has gotten into a car accident and is here at the hospital. She is stable but has a concussion and a broken wrist.

ANNA:
Oh my god, um, okay I will drive over right now. Thank you. Bye.

NURSE:
Goodbye.

AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
Anna leaves work right away. She doesn't even tell anyone where she's going. She gets in her car and drives to the hospital.

AT THE HOSPITAL
Anna arrives at the hospital and looks around for Lacey. She is breathing very fast because she is nervous and scared. She walks up to a nurse.

LACEY:
Hello, do you know where Lacey McKay is?

NURSE:
Let me check.

The nurse scrolls on the tablet.
Anna waits impatiently.

NURSE:
Oh, yes. She is in room 210.

ANNA:
Okay, thank you.

Anna walks away and gets in the elevator. The thirty second ride up seemed like hours.
Once the doors open Anna speed walks out to look for Lacey's room.
A bunch of people pass her running with a hospital bed to an operating room. Anna quickly slams herself against the wall to get out of their way.
She finds Lacey's room and walks in. Lacey is still sleeping in her bed. Monitors and machines beep and chirp. Anna gasps and sits down in a chair next to Lacey. She grabs her hand and squeezes it tight. A tear falls down her face as she sits there and stares at Lacey.
