AT LACEY'S HOUSE
Lacey, Anna, and Liam are back from their road trip. They walk in the house to find it completely destroyed. The dining room table is flipped, all the paintings that were hung are broken and on the floor.

LACEY:
What the hell.

ANNA:
Oh my god what happened here?

LACEY:
Everything is, ruined.

Lacey walks around the destroyed house.

ANNA:
Did you get robbed?

LACEY:
I- I don't know.

Anna turns and sees a piece of paper taped to the door.

ANNA:
Lacey, there's a note on the door.

Anna rips it off and reads it.

ANNA:
"Have fun with your girlfriend, whore." Oh, my, god.

LACEY:
I swear to god Ryan!

ANNA:
You think he did this?

LACEY:
Well, who else would do this? No one else hates me at the moment.

LIAM:
Mommy, what did daddy do?

LACEY:
Oh, um, nothing sweetie. The main thing is, is that we are safe.

ANNA:
Yeah, I guess that's the main thing that matters right now. But what are we going to do with this?

LACEY:
Well, we better start cleaning. I'm going to go check the upstairs.

Lacey goes upstairs.

LIAM:
Anna, did my dad do all of this?

ANNA:
Um, listen, Liam. Your dad is going away for a while. And you're probably not going to see him for a while. Okay?

LIAM:
Why? Why is he going away?

ANNA:
Well, he did something he shouldn't have, and, your mom can't trust him anymore. He did something bad and bad people don't deserve your mom and you.

Lacey comes back from upstairs.

LACEY:
Well, good news. He didn't touch the upstairs. But, the whole main floor is ruined. So Liam how about you go and unpack your bag in your room?

LIAM:
Okay.

Liam runs upstairs.

LACEY:
Well, we better grab a broom and dustpan. Because we'll be cleaning for a while.
