What Will You Have?

AT THE HOSPITAL
It's 1:12 PM and Lacey is eating lunch. Anna steals a couple of pieces of food from her.

LACEY:
Why don't you go get some food for yourself?

ANNA:
Oh are you just trying to kick me out?

LACEY:
No, I just want to to actually eat something. You've barely eaten anything in the last 20 hours. And trust me, I definitely do not want to kick you out. I want to be with you all the time.

ANNA:
But I don't want to leave you.

LACEY:
Anna, I'm fine. Just go. You need to eat something.

ANNA:
Okay, okay. I'll go. I'll only be about 20 minutes.

LACEY:
Okay. Thank you.

Lacey continues eating while Anna grabs her coat and heads for the door. She looks back at Lacey in the door frame. Lacey looks up at Anna and smiles showing a orange peel in her mouth.

ANNA:
Oh my god.

Anna laughs and shakes her head at Lacey. Lacey spits it out and laughs along with her.

ANNA:
You're so weird you goofball. Okay bye, bye. Love you.

Anna blows Lacey a kiss.

LACEY:
Love you too.

Lacey returns the kiss with another one

Lacey blushes as Anna turns around and leaves.

IN ANNAS CAR
Anna is driving to the nearest restaurant which happens to be a small little cafe 11 blocks away from the hospital. Anna drives the six minutes of mild traffic in complete silence.

When she arrives she orders a plain black coffee and a bagel with cream cheese.
Once she gets it she leaves and sips the coffee on her way out. She doesn't eat the bagel until she's back with Lacey.

AT THE HOSPITAL
Anna walks in right on time.

LACEY:
Oh my gosh that was exactly 20 minutes. That's impressive.

ANNA:
What can I say?

LACEY:
What'd you get?

ANNA:
Oh I got a plain black coffee and a bagel with cream cheese.

LACEY:
Ooo. Yum.

ANNA:
How was your lunch?

LACEY:
Eh, hospital food. Didn't impress me too much.

Anna nods in agreement as she sits right next to Lacey.
Lacey takes a sip of Anna's coffee.

LACEY:
Whew. That's, strong.

ANNA:
Well, something's gotta get me through the day. Wanna bite?

Anna unwraps her bagel.

LACEY:
Yes of course.

Anna hands the bagel to Lacey and she takes a bite.

LACEY:
That is a good bagel though. Wow.

Anna takes a bite too.

ANNA:
Oh my gosh yeah. This is probably the best bagel I've ever had.

LACEY:
We are definitely going to this place when I get out of here.

Anna nods her head in agreement. They pass the bagel back and forth one another, taking bites until it's gone.
