What Will You Have?

AT LACEY'S HOUSE:
Lacey and Anna finished supper. They are both sitting on the couch watching a rom-com. They both hate it but are too afraid to tell one another.

ANNA:
Sorry for asking, but, where is your son?

LACEY:
Oh, well Ryan decided that he should stay with him and his parents. So he picked him up from school. Without even telling me.

ANNA:
Oh, god. I mean, I don't know Ryan but I feel that-what's your sons name?

LACEY:
Liam.

ANNA:
Okay, well I feel that Liam would be better with you. I mean you changed your shift hours just so you could spend time with him and be there for him. And that's what a loving and devoted mother, like you, would do.

LACEY:
Thank you. And I'm not too excited about him staying there either. Ryan's parents aren't the best people. And their house is not the right condition for two more people, including a child. With all those cats their house, it's basically a giant litter box.

ANNA:
Well, I just hope he's safe and he's being loved.

LACEY:
Yeah, me too.

They go back to watching to movie for a while. It's getting dark outside.
Anna glances at Lacey. Lacey catches her looking at her. Now they are both staring at each other. Anna turns to Lacey. Her eyes sparkle with the TV screen hitting them just right. Lacey opens her mouth to speak. But suddenly she feels Anna's lips against hers. She wants to pull back at first, but remembers that Ryan left, and she can kiss whoever the hell she wants to. So she allows it.
They pull apart for a second so they can catch a breath. Then Lacey falls on top of Anna.

LACEY:
Let's take this to my bedroom.

They get up together, never leaving each other's lips. They pull off each other's clothes just in time to get in the bed. Lacey picks Anna up and lays her on the bed. The tv still playing the horrible movie in the background.
