It had been the next day, though neither Owlfred or Hedwig had returned with their response letters, which didn't really set Y/N's mood to a great start.

Throughout the day, she and Harry hadn't left their bedrooms at all, only leaving a few times for the bathroom.

They've been constantly discussing about the Dementors, their expulsion and trying to come up with theories about what on earth is about to happen to them.

Despite everything crumbling around her, she was glad that, at least someone was able to share her frustration and understand her, that was definitely one of the most grateful thing was to have Harry with her, if not, she might've cursed the Dursleys already.

The Dursleys had also been having a distance with both Y/N and Harry, it seemed that they were more afraid of them, especially after knowing about their expulsion and that, they 'could' use magic now.

Though, it was a definite blessing in disguise, neither Y/N nor Harry would want to talk to them anyways, but the thought that Petunia knew what Dementors were, did start some form of speculation between the two of them.

But they didn't think about it much, they were more concerned on the response letters from their owls that they thought would be arriving anytime soon.

Though, four boring days had passed and both Owlfred and Hedwig's cages were still empty. Y/N's temper weren't getting any better as the days passed, even at times she'd start petty arguments with Harry, which she'd always apologize for after.

She didn't know why but she constantly felt angry, especially when the thought of her being in the dark while everybody else was possibly having a happy tea party together. Honestly, this feeling sucked, for both Y/N and Harry.

"For fuck's sake." Y/N growled as it came out in a muffled tone, she had her face flat onto her pillow, "where the hell is Owlfred and Hedwig."

"They've never been gone for so long." Harry mumbled, "It's been four days."

"No shit sherlock." Y/N retaliated harshly as she sat upright, her back leaning against the headboard as she let out an irritated groan, "sorry, didn't mean to lose my temper again."

Harry shook his head slowly, telling the Ravenclaw that it was okay. There was a moment of silence, not tension silence, instead the stressed type. Both of them had been having little to no sleep ever since they've got the letter about their expulsion from the Ministry.

And with their friends and family leaving them in the dark, it only makes their mind race more, plus with the Ravenclaw still having sleepless nights due to her dreams, everything was going horribly.

Suddenly, they heard loud elephant footsteps approach their bedroom as the door swung open. Slowly the duo lifted their heads, Vernon was in his best suit and held an expression with enormous smugness.
