Y/N had her things packed, Dumbledore had allowed her and her friends an early start to the summer holidays considering they had a funeral to attend to. The school was now back in the hands of Dumbledore and the Minister, Cornelius Fudge had resigned from his position, Umbridge was now suspended and in investigation.

It's quite a relief to know that that pink toad wouldn't be using her medieval and cruel methods on any more students in Hogwarts and it seems that that thought alone brought bright spirits among students despite Voldemort's return.

Though, the bright spirits among the students didn't seem to make a difference towards Y/N's mood.

She was discharged from the Hospital Wing right after her friends had visited her and she did try to uplift her mood during the visitation or whenever she was around her friends but whenever she was alone her mind couldn't help but wander.

There she was, in her dorm alone. Everyone was headed to the end of school year feast but Y/N didn't feel the need to go especially since she and Harry has made the Daily Prophet's front page once more, she'd really doesn't want the stares or questions or rumors in her way.

Purposefully, she excused the feast by slowing down her packing speed, unfolding her hoodies and folding it again. Putting them in her trunk and rearranging it multiple times despite it being unnecessary.

She needed a break, just to let her thoughts flush through everything's that'd happen, process everything she saw, letting the reality sink in. Sirius and (Y/D/N) were no longer here, she needed to overcome that in order to even have to strength to attend the funeral that was set on Saturday.

Only two days for her to fully prepare to be faced with her biggest fear, to be faced with the death of the two men who she truly admired, to be seen vulnerable in front of all her friends and their families.

She knew Harry had also been having a really hard time facing Sirius's death, she noticed how he seemed to zone out every minute or not really be present whenever there was an ongoing conversation.

But she couldn't blame him, she understands that both of them feel equally as awful about the whole situation and Y/N couldn't help but feel that this entire situation wouldn't have happened if she had just realized that Sirius wasn't in the department of mysteries, if she had just been able to differentiate real and fake.

"I need to take a stroll." Y/N mumbled to herself quickly before stuffing everything into her trunk, locking it and immediately leaving her dorm.

As she walked down the grand staircase she could hear the faint chattering from the Great Hall, the instrumental music that played and the sounds of glass and metal clinking together.

She walked past the Great Hall's closed doors and moved down a hallway near it, the emptiness sort of brought relief to her, that was until she saw a certain dirty-blonde down the hallway hanging up pieces of parchment on the pillars.
