No wonder Y/N hadn't been seeing Percy at all during her time with the Weasley's, they hadn't mention him at all, all she knew was that he was working for the Ministry but never did she realize that he was actually working for the blinded Cornelius Fudge.
As of right now? She and Harry was being dragged by Percy Weasley into Dumbledore's Office along with Draco dragging Cho while Cornelius Fudge himself and Professor Umbitch, I mean Umbridge along with Shacklebolt and another one of their helpersentered too.
"I've been watching them for weeks." Umbridge told as she handed a piece of parchment to Fudge, specifically the one she stole from the notice board in the room of requirements. "And see, 'Dumbledore's Army', proof of what I've been telling you right from the beginning, Cornelius."
Oh Godric someone please just shut this woman up, Y/N was so close from just kicking Percy in the balls in order to break free and lunge right at that pink old toad but sadly, she counted the amount of outcomes that might happen and a cell in Azkaban was almost where she'd ended up 99% of the outcomes, so sure, she very unwillingly resisted.
"All you fear-mongering about You-Know-Who never fooled us a minute." Umbridge accused, "We saw your lies for what they were: A smokescreen for your bid to seize control of the Ministry."
Holy shit, someone just break the Ravenclaw free already or she'd might just explode on the spot. Though, she was surprised to see Dumbledore not angry, not furious instead calm. So calm to the point it gave off a very uneasy feeling to Y/N with the fact that he wasn't standing either, instead just casually sitting on his desk as if this accusation was a piece of cake.
"Naturally." he responded calmly, and this made Y/N stare at him with confusion.
"What? No." Y/N quickly voiced, attempting to capture Fudge's attention, "He had nothing to do with it, it was me."
"Us, Y/N and I, we both did this, Professor Dumbledore had nothing to do with it." Harry added.
They needed Dumbledore to stay at Hogwarts, without him Voldemort would attack the school, without his protection Hogwarts would no longer be safe for everyone, so they didn't care if they risked expulsion, they needed Dumbledore to stay.
"Most noble of you two, Y/N and Harry to shield me, but as has been pointed out." Dumbledore said again with his unusual calm voice. "the parchment clearly says 'Dumbledore's Army', not 'Potter's or 'Y/L/N's'."
Has Dumbledore gone mad? Yes, his doings are always questionable but everytime the outcome was right. But why was he taking the blame for something he clearly had no idea about? Why is he putting himself on the spot when he didn't even know the DA existed? So many questions yet so little answers, an apparent recurring theme throughout this year eh?
