The weekend finally came by as Y/N was more than relieved that the awful long school week was over. Despite being back at Hogwarts she felt like she was stranded on an island, alone.

She loved being back at Hogwarts of course, but everything felt so different, she felt lonely. Everyday she'd pass by at least one group of people who would be conspiring against her, taking in all of the Daily Prophet's horse shit.

So to take a well deserved break from all of it, she decided to take a stroll around Hogwarts grounds, alone. She figured it'd be the most harmless and relaxing way possible to clear out some frustration, considering her temper had also become extremely fragile.

It was quite relaxing for her, breathing in the fresh air, walking round the stone pathway that led to Hagrid's hut. She lingered at Hagrid's vacant hut for a while, staring through the dark empty window, starting to really miss Hagrid's presence, Hagrid was always there when she needed someone to talk to and she sure as hell needed that now.

Taking a very deep sigh as she admired the empty hut before finally turning away, deciding to continue her walk into the Forest.

Expecting nothing much of it she was shocked to see the same reptilian-like horses she had seen pulling the carriages the other day, but there was someone there petting them.

Squinting her eyes to get a better view, she immediately recognized her by the dirty-blonde hair, slowly she walked towards Luna who was still petting one of the reptilian-like horses, though, once she noticed Luna not wearing any shoes, her eyebrows furrowed together puzzledly.

"Hello Y/N Y/L/N." Luna greeted without taking a glance at Y/N at all, it was like she had eyes behind her head, just like Moody. "Hi Luna." she responded, still slightly taken aback as she now stood right beside Luna, watching her continuing to pet the reptilian-like horse's muzzle, "Your feet. Aren't they cold?"

"Bit." Luna replied simply, "Unfortunately, all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared. I suspect Nargles are behind it."

Despite not having a clue what Nargles are, the Ravenclaw let out an understanding hum and nod before she watched the giant reptilian horse walk away, "What are they?"

"They're called Thestrals." Luna said, "They're quite gentle, really, but people avoid them because they're a bit.."

"Different." The Ravenclaw breathed as Luna sent her a warm smile before looking back to the Thestrals, watching the giant one reunite itself with another two thestrals, one of it was really tiny which the Ravenclaw assumed was only a child, "But why can't the others see them?"
