A couple days later. At the house. Outside at the pool.

Fer and Cat were lying on the outdoor bed next to the pool. It was a pretty sunny day and the outdoor area was filled with pack members. 

Cat was lying on her stomach while Fer was on her back checking out her pack members. 

Fer noticed that Cat hadn't moved a muscle in a while and nudged her with her leg "you sleeping?"

Cat turned her head to the side to look at Fer before shaking her head. 

Fer "can I ask you something?"

Cat nodded.

Fer "what is going to happen when this is over? what are you gonna do?"

Cat froze, completely caught of guard. 

Fer looked at her. 

Cat sighed "i don't know"

Fer "Rafe is your mate. You're gonna have to become our Luna at some point"

Cat shook her head "rejecting the mate bond i still on the table, Fer"

Fer froze surprised "what? still?"

Cat nodded.

Fer "but do you think he would let you reject him?"

Cat shook her head "it's not on him to make that decision, Fer"

Fer "would you actually go through with it? rejecting him"

Cat let out a deep breath "i don't know"

Suddenly they saw five werewolves shit into wolves before taking off into the woods. 

Fer looked into the direction confused. 

Cat sat up and took her sun glasses off "what's going?"

Fer looked in one direction "something is going on"

Cat looked in the same direction and saw Seth and Rafe walking out of the house. 

The two girls got off the bed and walked to the woods. 

Seth and Rafe followed them.

Fer asked Rafe "what's going on? are we under attack?"

Her alpha shook her head "i don't know"

They stopped when they caught up to the five wolves. The five of them were surrounding a bush. They were growling at it. 

Seth looked at his brother confused.

Rafe nodded "i smell it too"

Suddenly something stepped out of the bushes. 

Cat's jaw hit the ground as she recognized the man. another one from her pack. 

She asked confused "Javier?"

The brothers looked at her confused. 

Javier did not look good. he could barely stand. He was pale and was shaking like crazy. 

Seth "another turned one"

Javier suddenly threw up blood before he dropped to the ground. 

Cat took a step back but then she walked closer to him. 

The wolves made room for her. 

She kneeled down to him and couldn't hear a heartbeat. 

Then she turned to Rafe who was looking at her and shook her head.
