Cataleya

Cancun, Mexico. Morning.

Cataleya walked out of her bathroom, dressed for the day before sitting down on her bed. She looked around before grabbing her phone. Just as she was about to unlock it, someone knocked on her bedroom door. 

She sighed before calling out "Yes"

The door opened and a tired looking Mateo walked inside "morning, princess"

Cataleya looked at him confused "Mateo? what are you doing here?"

Mateo took a deep breath as he leaned against the door frame "my uncle wanted me to come and fetch you?"

She asked even more confused "papa? why would papa send you to come fetch me?"

Mateo nodded "he wants you ready and downstairs in 5"

Cataleya shook her head "15"

He shook his head "no, no, no, no, no. Your papa called me at four in the morning to come over. I didn't get 15 minutes so neither will you, Cat. Be down in 5. Thank you, cousin"

Then he walked out.

Mateo's Cataleya and her brother's, Ignacio, best friend and their step-cousin. He was her uncles step-son. He had married Mateo's mother when the boy was 5 so he's basically his real father. 

Cataleya let out a deep breath before walking downstairs annoyed. 

She yawned when she walked down the stairs into the foyer "Good morning-"

People were arguing.

Cataleya asked confused "what is going on here?"

Antonio, her father, turned around before looking at his daughter "por fin" (finally)

Cataleya held back an eye roll before opening her mouth. 

She got interrupted by a voice "There is my favorite niece"

It was her uncle Alejandro who walked in amused. 

Her eyes lit up before she rushed over to him to hug him "Tio!" (uncle)

He chuckled as he picked her up for a second "I hope you didn't give your old man too much trouble"

She chuckled as he let her back down "me? i'd never"

Out of nowhere there was another voice "and where is my hug, little sister?"

Cataleya's head snapped around before she smirked "Nacho? Nacho!"

Nacho ( short for Ignacio), was leaning against the door frame amused. 

Cataleya walked over to him, amused "hermano" (brother)

Nacho hugged her "hey, sis"

Cataleya let go of her brother before asking confused " did you just come back? Where the hell even where you?"

Her father fake coughed "Language, mi hija"

Cataleya ignored him but she did notice the side glance Nacho gave their father. 

Ignacio then looked at her and shrugged "I was out. Vacation and stuff"

She eyed her brother's face before asking quietly "you're lying, why?"

Ignacio looked at her but she knew from the look on her face he wouldn't answer the question.

Cataleya sighed before taking a step back from her brother who looked down. 

Antonio clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.

Cataleya looked at Nacho who looked down before looking back to her father.
