"Remind me why we're making gingerbread houses in November?" Sodapop asked

"Because Isabella is a Christmas fanatic and wanted to start decorating in October." I explained

Sodapop tried to put the roof on, but the entire house fell down. "You're really bad at this." I chuckled

"Hush. I haven't done this in a while." He said

I put the first part of the roof on mine and the house fell. "Look who's talking." Sodapop said

I put on icing on my finger and put it on his nose. He wiped it off with a napkin. After a while, we managed to finish them. "Do you wanna watch something?" I asked

"Sure."

We sat on the couch and channel surfed for a bit, then we eventually settled on a Hallmark movie of all things. He put his arm around me. "All of these movies have the exact same plot." He pointed out

"Yeah. Kinda like Jane Austen books."

"Ponyboy told you that, didn't he?"

"Yeah. Girl likes a guy, doesn't think she'll get him, then she does. The end."

He chuckled. While we were in the middle of the movie, Isabella bursted through the door. She looked at us and smiled. "Adds and Soda sitting in a tree. K-I-"

"Shush!" I said

Sodapop smiled and I blushed. "What are y'all watching?" Isabella asked

"I'm not entirely sure." I said

"Well, how'd the gingerbread houses go?"

"Those cookies are gonna be homeless." Sodapop said
