(Harley's theme ^^^)
I sat at the dinner table with Remus. We both ate our food. "I think I'm going to the Burrow tomorrow", I told him.
"Now Iris, don't forget your books in the cupboard", Remus said. I nodded.
"When's the last time you talked to Tonks?" I asked. I think him and my cousin, Tonks, are in love, but Remus thinks he's to old and too dangerous.
"I haven't spoken to her since after..." Remus started. He looked at me.
"Since after Jack died", I said.
"How's your Patronus coming along?" Remus asked. I didn't say anything. Remus knew it was that bad. "You'll get it again, Irina. Just keep trying. Don't think of him. Think of someone else".
Later, I packed my things for the Burrow and Hogwarts. I grabbed my mouse toy. My father fixed it with a repero charm. I put it in my suitcase.
I laid in bed that night. I had a dream. Ever since my potion gone wrong last year, I've been having dreams of others memories. I think they were my dad's.
1972
Harley Evans, the youngest sister of Lily and Petunia Evans, was a Gryffindor Hogwarts student. She was hanging out with two of her friends. One of them was a Slytherin and the other was a Hufflepuff.
Harley saw Sirius walk towards the Great Hall. She stood up from the bench and ran after him.
"Is it true, Sirius?" Harley asked.
"It was meant to be a joke, Harley", Sirius said.
Harley grabbed him and pushed him into a wall. "You could've killed him if James didn't come. What were you thinking?" Harley asked. "And don't say it was meant to be a joke. Perhaps I was wrong about you, Sirius Black".
Harley walked away from him. "Harley", he called out after her.
Present day
I woke up at 5 in the morning. I turned into my Animagus. A grey cat with Green eyes. I had my wand in my mouth as I went outside.
It wasn't a full moon. So Remus was asleep in his bed. My Animagus went to a stone grave. I transformed into my normal human form. On the grave, it read, "Jack Riddle. 5 May 1978-18 June 1996".
I stood close to the grave and raised my wand. I tried to think of a happy memory, but all I could think about was Jack and that made me sad.
"Expecto...!" I started. I closed my eyes and gritted my teeth to stop myself from crying. I opened my eyes and looked ahead of me. "Expecto...Expecto". Tears fell down my face. "Expecto Patronum!"
Nothing happened. I broke down, crying. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around.
"You can't think of him if you want to get through this year", Remus said. I knew he was right, but I didn't want to believe he was right. If that makes sense.
"But it would feel like I'm forgetting him", I said. That's what I meant.
"You can never forget him", Remus said. "Perhaps you should get ready to go to the Burrow".
I nodded. I stood up. Me and Remus walked inside. I took a shower while my godfather fixed breakfast. Thoughts ran through my head. About my friends, about Jack, about Draco, about Bellatrix.
I finally got out of the shower and wore my outfit for today.
I walked down the stairs with my suitcase. I dropped it off next to the door before I joined Remus for breakfast.
"So, do you have any plans this year to help you move on", Remus said.
"Yeah um...I'm joining Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies. I'll try to perfect my potion. Everything that reminds me of Jack will stay here. I'll hang out with my friends more since we were very distant last year. I'll even try to smile. And I'm not going to date anyone. I'm staying single forever", I said.
"Iris, you're going to find someone someday and it's alright to date them and fall in love", Remus said.
"Not for the next five years, it's not", I said.
"I hope you change your mind", Remus said.
I will once he changes his mind about Tonks.
Later that day, I arrived at the Burrow. I loved to go there at the end of the summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Weasley treated me like a daughter and Ron, Ginny and the Twins, Fred and George, treated me like a little sister.
Mr. Weasley was at work, but I was greeted by a hug from Mrs. Weasley. Ginny and Ron hug me. The twins said, "Hello Sunshine" and kissed my head. Hermione was there as well. We hug each other.
Mrs. Weasley asked how I was holding up. She was very sweet and very caring. I knew she was actually concerned about me.
"I'm getting through, but I'll be alright, Mrs. Weasley", I said.
It was going to take a lot of strength to get through the year, not devastated.
