Chapter 11 - Holding Hands

Miss Andrea's POV

It's already Saturday. I already finished marking their homeworks last night so it's my free time today. I am now getting ready for breakfast 'cause I just woke up. I looked at my clock which is on my side-table. 7:00 am. After fixing my bed, I walked towards my bathroom to fix myself before eating breakfast. 

I was about to exit the kitchen when I heard the door opened. Hindi na ako nagtaka dahil isa lang naman ang bigla biglang pumapasok sa bahay ko. 

"Why do you always go here without asking permission?". I'm not mad. It's just... weird.

"I just want to surprise you". She smiled at me like she does whenever we're alone. But this time, I felt a little different. 

I just finished washing my dishes. So, I went to the living room 'coz I don't have any plans today. I saw her grab the remote and turned on the TV. 

"You don't have any plans, right? Let's watch a movie". She smiled at me and I watched her picked a movie. I watched the way she pick. All about her. I watched them. Even how she sits. Halos araw-araw na siyang pumupunta dito. Alam ko na mga galaw niya. 

We are already in the middle of the movie nang mapatingin ako sa kanya. I know that she knows that I'm staring at her because she place her head on my shoulder. Nagulat ako nung una but as the time goes by, I don't mind at all. I felt my body flinched when she laid her head on my shoulder.

While looking at her, I just realized something. I find it cute. I mean it. The way she laughs and pout. There's a part of me that wants to know everything about her. What is this feeling? Crush? Or maybe something even worse? I shake my head to remove all the thoughts. When I look back at the TV, credits na. Hindi ko na naabutan ang ending. It's fine. I can rewatch it if I want.

Lunch time. But she's still here . I'm already hungry but I'm too lazy to cook for lunch. 

"Let's go eat lunch outside. My treat". Why do I think that she's asking me on a date? Impossible. 

While we're on the road, I remembered the competition she'll be joining. It's already June. The competition will be held on the last day of June, which is basically my birthday. 

"Btw, the competition is coming. Are you ready?"  I asked without looking at her. She's the one driving. 

"Kinda." Hindi agad ako sumagot. It's like I don't know what to say. Then, something just came out. 

"You can do it. I believe you can". She suddenly stopped the car. I looked at her. Blushing. Then, I just realized we are already in our destination. A Japanese restaurant. 

As always, she opened the door for me. Until we reached the entrance of the restaurant. She did the same. That's what I like about her. Such a gentlewoman. She also ordered food for the both of us. Suddenly, that song is repeating in my head. To be honest, it became my favorite song.  I like the beat of it.

After eating lunch, we went to a park few kilometers away from the restaurant. We just spend our time watching at the kids playing. I smiled. I miss being a kid. I miss having fun.  I remember the last time I played in a playground. I was still in elementary. I was with my parents. I miss them. 

"Nakakamiss maging bata, noh?" I suddenly said out of nowhere. 

I just watched her as she pulled me towards the seesaw. Hindi na ako nakatanggi.  Umupo na siya sa kabilang dulo habang hinihintay niya akong umupo sa kabila. 

"Are you serious?". I asked nang mag-sink in na sakin kung saan niya ako dinala. 

"Come on, it'll be fun!". Hindi na ako nakipag-talo. Ako na rin naman ang nagsabi na nakakamiss maging bata eh. Eto na ang chance, hindi ko pa susulitin. 

We played a little more before kami mapagod. I glanced at my watch. It's already 4:00. When I looked at her she is giving me a bottle of water. Hindi ko na napansin na umalis siya sa pagod ko. Halos lahat kase ng laro sa playground ay nilaro namin. Nakipag-laro pa siya sa mga bata. 

"Thanks".

Angela's POV

When I woke up, naisipan kong bisitahin ulit si Miss Andrea sa bahay niya. Kaya I did my morning routine and wore my favorite dark blue sweatpants and pink croptop with a smiley face on the upper left as a design.

I drove to her house and as usual, pagsusungit naman ang natanggap ko sa kanya. We watched a movie the whole morning. I place my head on her shoulder. I honestly didn't know why I did that. But thankfulky, she didn't complain.

My weekend was so fun and memorable. I spend my whole Saturday with Miss Andrea. I missed her kase kahit na nagkikita naman kami sa school.

We went to a Japanese restaurant to eat unch, we even played at a playground near a park kase namiss niya daw maging bata. When dinner came, I just volunteered to cook for the both of us. Aayaw pa nga siya eh since kaya nya naman daw magluto. Tsaka baka daw hinahanap na ako samin. I just told her na I want to spend my weekends with her.

Kagabi nga eh, I can't sleep because I can't stop thinking about her.  I think I already fell asleep at 2:00 in the morning but I woke up early so I can visit her. It's already 8'o clock and I'm still here. I'm planning to go home at 9:30 para may oras pa ako with her. I told her na we can watch a movie again, which she agreed. I think gumagaan na ang loob niya sakin. I can feel it. 

In the middle of the movie, I caught myself staring at her. I love her dark brown eyes, her medium-length hair, everything about her. I looked down at her hand, which is resting at the seat of the sofa. There's something telling me to hold her it. So I did. I smiled at the thought that it fits perfectly into mine. Naramdaman kong nagulat siya but she didn't remove it. I secretly smiled and continued watching. 

The next morning, it's Sunday. It's Family Day. So, my family and I went out to spend time with the whole family. Even my sister is here. We ate lunch at a restaurant, went to the mall, and even at an arcade. Buti na lang pumayag si Ate kase sabi niya masyado na daw akong matanda para sa mga arcade. But I told her na it doesn't matter kung ilang taon ka na, you can still play at the arcade. We had fun. After a while, nagyaya na si Dad na umuwi. While walking towards the parking lot of the mall, I saw someone familiar in one of the restaurants here in the mall. I know it's her. She's with a familiar guy. Saan ko ba siya nakita? Oh. He's the cousin.

"Let's go na, Angela!". I heard my sister called me. So, I left the entrance of the restaurant. Lumapit kase ako dahil sa kanya. Then, we went home. 

When we arrive, I ran into my bedroom thinking about that guy na kasama niya. Okay lang naman kung cousin nya yon pero kapag iba na ay hindi ko yata kaya. But I know na parang may nararamdaman na siya sakin after what happened last night. Her hand fits perfectly into mine. When I got the courage I need, I'll confess my feelings to her. 

Just wait for me, my love. Konti na lang, I'll make you mine.
