Yo I'm back! I think I'll prob update this fanfic one every week. I hope that's ok with you guys! I have like a gazillion tests/homework to take care of. THX for all the support <3 Sometimes, I'm too humiliated to look back at my previous chaps because they're SOO BAD!! UGH! Enjoy another crappy chap! :)
Ayaka's POV:
I woke up feeling refreshed. As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Sei-kun sitting up on the bed. He was already awake and just blankly staring at me. HOLD UP, HOLD UP, HOLD UP! Why the heck am I in a bed other than my own?!? Why is Sei-kun sharing a bed with me?!? WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT? I covered my face in embarrassment. I was about to slap him and scream when I broke out of my amnesia. PHEW! Nothing happened! What was I thinking? Sei-kun would never do that to me! HAHAHAHA..."Good morning Ayaka." He greeted me.
"M-Morning!" I managed to utter out. I was too embarrassed about my dirty thoughts to think straight.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked.
"Yes! Thanks a million Sei-kun!" I flashed a big smile at him. He smirked.
"Whatcha doin'?" I asked while peering over his neck.
"Well isn't someone nosy now?" He responded in a teasing manner.
"Yuck! Why're you reading the newspaper? How about manga instead?" I proposed.
"You're such a child." He said.
"Am not!" I replied.
"That proves your childishness." He stated.
"Psh." I pouted. I have been defeated by the "almighty Sei-kun" once again.
I'm so glad it's Sunday! I finally get to sleep in! No jobs or homework to worry about!
Sei-kun got out of the bed.
"Where're you going?" I curiously asked.
"Basketball practice. Do you want to come?" He asked.
"Sure! Just a second!" I said as I got up to get ready. It's like he asked me on a date- stop being delulu (delusional lol) Ayaka!
A few minutes later
"Let's go!" I cheerfully said while skipping.
As soon as we stepped out of the building, I saw Buchi-kun.
"Morning Buchi-kun!" I greeted him.
"Oh Ayaka-chan! Morning!" He greeted me back.
"So..." Buchi-kun began to say,
"What's up with you two going out of the same building? Do you live together or something?" Buchi-kun mischievously asked.
I looked away so nobody would see that my face was as bright as a red pepper (I'M RUNNING OUT OF SIMILES FOR HOW BRIGHT HER FACE CAN BE).
"That's none of your concern, Reo. Now, let's get going." Sei-kun ordered while changing the topic. He's just soooo smooth. Hehehehehe.
We quickly arrived at the gym. The awkwardness has disappeared! We were the first to arrive.
"Reo and I will set everything up. Ayaka, you can just read manga if you'd like." Sei-kun suggested.
"YAY! MANGA! NEW CHAPTER OF NARUTO, HERE I COME."(IK IK Naruto's over 😭)
Soon after, the rest of the team arrived.
We, once again, introduced ourselves. I felt a lot more comfortable around Buchi-kun than anyone else on the team. Maybe they're kind people. Who knows?Sei-kun made me tone down our practice drills. When I did as he said, the team did a lot better and weren't passing out on the ground.
I took out my shogi board. My method of playing basketball was similar to how a shogi game works. That somehow works. I've been using this method ever since I was the coach of Teiko's basketball team. It worked because we won every time.
"Why do you have a shogi board?" Hayama asked.
"It's my strategy." I replied, smiling.
"How?" He curiously asked
"Well, the players are like the shogi pieces on the board, see?" I pointed.
"Uh huh." Hw simply relied.
"And the board itself is like the court. In a way, it's like a mini-basketball game." I said.
It really isn't though, but that's how I decided to explain it to him because I didn't want to have to explain the whole game of shogi to him."Oh! I get it!" Hw excitedly jumped up and said.
Phew.Sei-kun then signaled everyone to have a "team huddle".
"The Inter-High is coming up soon. We'll all have to practice at our hardest." Sei-kun announced.
He continued to say, "If I catch anyone slacking off, or not doing what they're supposed to do, then you'll be severely punished." That sent chills down my spine.
During practice, no one slacked off. They were too scared of Sei-kun's speech to do anything other than basketball.
Four hours later, practice was over. It was now 3:30 P.M. Just watching them practice made me tired!
As soon as we got out of the gym, I saw a familiar looking man standing at the gate of the school.
"HOSHINO-SAN!" I yelled in surprise. I ran straight towards without any regard of anyone look at me, which was the whole team.
"Ahh Ayaka! It's so nice to see you again!" He said happily.
"I missed you and all the folks back at the shogi center! Was the ride very long?" I asked.
"It was fine. Everyone misses you back home. Akashi, come over here too." He suggested.
"It's nice to see you again, Hoshino-san." Sei-kun greeted.
The rest of the day was spent getting talking about the past and things we missed.
"Bye Hoshino-san!" I said.
"Bye bye!" He said.
Before leaving, Hoshino-san whispered something into Sei-kun's ear. I couldn't hear it. Sei-kun nodded his head.
"Yes sir." He replied. The old man smiled.
"Bye bye!" He bid us farewell.
As we left, I was still curious on what Hoshino-san and Sei-kun were discussing. I decided to ask him, but he wouldn't tell. I wonder....
Well I finally finished! I'm really sorry for the delay! PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS.
