When Eric, Christian, Keshaun, Olivia, Andrea, Emma, Mia, and Stephanie returned to the Godson Railway, their friends and family gave them a big welcome. Henrietta and Kate smiled when they saw them, and both Lenry and William were pleased to have their friends home. Olivia, Andrea, Emma, Mia, and Stephanie's parents hugged their children to know that they had missed them. Hammond, May, and Clarkson were introduced to Eric, Christian, Keshaun, Olivia, Andrea, Emma, Mia, and Stephanie, the eight friends were happy to have an GWR 5700, GER Class S69 (LNER B12), and the other LNER A3 as friends.
Once back home, Eric, Christian, and Keshaun got back into the rhythm, and they were back to working on their branchline and helping the other engines. Hammond, May and Clarkson would help out too. Eric, Christian, and Keshaun would occasionally tell their friends about the other engines on Sodor, as well as events that had transpired while they were on the island, and the others would revel in the news.
The others would ask them 'Maybe we could come to Sodor', And Eric, Christian, and Keshaun would reply, 'You would have to talk to Mr Croft and Ms Avery about it', and the others agreed to this.

One day, Olivia and her friends were in Croft's office at Croft station cleaning up the place, with Mr. Croft with them doing paper work.
Croft is a station on the Main Line, while an abandoned line to Robert was downgraded to a branch line, with the junction located slightly east of the station. A goods yard is located here. It consists of several sidings, a turntable and a two-berth engine shed, with a coal hopper nearby. A breakdown train is kept here. The station's name is in honor of Ms Avery's husband and second controller. Mr. Croft also has his office here.
"Thank you girls for helping me cleaning up my office." Mr. Croft said to the girls. "I'm so busy with my work, I rarely get to clean up the place." He added. "No problem, Mr Croft we like to help other people out." Olivia replied.
Emma and Andrea were sweeping the floor, when Emma accidentally bumps into a bookshelf and a book falls out of it's place, Andrea caught it. "I've never seen a book like this before." Andrea said as she looked at it. The book had a book cover similar to the LNER livery that the engines of the LNER wore back in the day, and read 'Locomotives of Nigel Gresley by Nigel Gresley and Ms A'.
"Who's Ms A?" Andrea asked. "My Wife, that's what Nigel used to call her before he pasted away." Mr. Croft answered. "Your holding what Ms Avery wrote about Gresley's engines, she used to be partners with him." He added.
"Is it OK, if we barrow it for a while?" Stephanie asked. "We'd like to read more about Sir Nigel's engines." She added. "Sure, you can barrow it but make sure you return it to me or Ms Avery." Mr Croft replied. After finishing cleaning up the office, the girls went to help the engines with their work, while Mr. Croft was left still doing the paper work while chuckling to himself.
