After the whole 'ghost' incident on the Peel Godred Branch, things began to calm down on the Island of Sodor. The engines took up the work, and they performed to the best of their abilites. Keshaun enjoyed going up and down the line with his trains, plus he got to visit Old Bailey when ever he got the chance.

One day at Knapford station, Eric, Clarkson and May were talking about a certain topic on smoke deflectors as they waited. Smoke deflectors, sometimes called "blinkers" in the UK because of their strong resemblance to the blinkers used on horses, and "elephant ears" in US railway slang, are vertical plates attached to each side of the smokebox at the front of a steam locomotive. They are designed to lift smoke away from the locomotive at speed so that the driver has better visibility.

"So, what would you think if I had smoke deflectors on?" Clarkson asked.

"I would say you would look like garbage." May replied.

"What do you mean Clarkson would look like garbage?" Eric asked. "I would say he would look good with smoke deflectors on."

"What I'm saying, is that Clarkson would look a lot like Flying Scotsman." May explained.

"Yes, I'll admit I would look like my brother." Clarkson said. "But Scotsman's in BR green not LNER green."

"If I was to choose your deflectors, I would go for the ones that Tornado has." Eric suggested.

"Come on Eric." Clarkson replied. "Let's not get bogged down with who has the best deflectors."

Hammond was shunting May's coaches onto the platform that May was on when the heard the conversation going on. "What are earth are those three going on about?" He muttered.

Then it happened, Hammond accidentally let the coaches getaway from him and they were sent rolling towards May.

"Oh no, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!" Hammond shouted as the coaches hit the purple LNER B12 with a bump.

"Hammond, you idiot." Clarkson started.

"What?" Hammond asked.

"What did you do?" May asked with a hint of anger in his voice.

"Well I pressed the switch thinking it was the brakes so I could shunt more coaches." Hammond explained.

"That was to release them, you muppet!" May shouted.

"Never mind guys." Eric reassured. "Look, let's not get bogged down on who caused the accident."

"Honestly, that pannier never learns a thing or two." May muttered as he left with his passenger train.

"Alright Clarkson, your next train is in the yard." Hammond said. "Eric, Mr. Croft said your needed at Kirk Roan."

"Thank you Hammond" Eric and Clarkson replied as the former headed to the Kirk Roan Branch, and the latter went to his next train.
