3rd person POV:

Marc, Raven, Corey and Gabriel spend Christmas eve, then Christmas day at Uncle's. Complete with full roast dinner etc, Phil is secretly pleased that he doesn't have to eat turkey for the next three weeks, as Ben bought one that could have feed, in his opinion, about twenty people. The boys, younger men easily polish it off though.

Corey is still in shock that he has a half-sister, one that he never knew anything about. Unsure what to say to her, after she tells them to tell Marc and Raven everything, he keeps radio silence for most of the day. What he really wants to say is sorry. He wants to fall on his knees begging for her forgiveness, he knows exactly how bad that home could have been, probably would have been. Their father was not, is not, a good man, and... she didn't even have a sibling to help protect her! He thinks he should have been there, and is annoyed with himself for not looking, not checking that there might be someone there. As, if his being honest, their father was never the most faithful man.

Sang takes his silence as a fact that he wants nothing to do with her. Which is the first reaction that she's understood in a while. She hides it from everyone she lives with all day, when Corey finally texts her she's so scared that his going reject her that she doesn't look at is for hours.

She ends up checking on Christmas day, when Jess, Luke and North have fallen asleep, and she's finished a touch of hacking. All of them have collapsed on the sofa, Jess's head on North's shoulder, Luke's on his other side, one of his arms tight around Sangs waist, which makes using her computer, kind of hard.

Sang cries when she reads the message:

I'm so sorry we weren't there for you!

Luke wakes to her shaking crys, reads the message from her brother, then just sits, his arms wrapped around her, offering her silent comfort as she crys. He then cups her cheeks, kissing her tears away, whispering words of comfort.

Corey almost cries when she sends her first message back:

But you never knew, you never even knew to look, he gave you no reason to suspect, he might have had affairs, but he always seemed so carful. He hid us from each other so well, that even with our hacking skills, it's taken this long, to find each other, to find this information!

He does cry, full on tears streaming down his face when one follows a moment later:

Brother.

The next day, boxing day, Corey, Raven, Marc, and Gabriel wake somewhere they really didn't expect to be...

The guys at Erica's house have a strange tasting main meal, for Christmas Dinner, that only Erica seems to really enjoy. Kayli finds it disgusting, as in unpalatable. Even going so far as to insult Erica's cooking, as well as the fact that Jess and 'Violet' had to help her.

Sean, who has been spending a lot of time at the hospital, mainly under Dr. Roberts suggestions, is one of the only ones who looks uncomfortable as Kayli storms out, dragging Kota with her, having thoroughly degraded everything about Erica's house.

They don't head far, Kota hadn't realised how much he missed his mum, despite having seen her a few times... and something told him he'd regret it if he left now. That he'd create such an irreparable rift, that he wouldn't ever be welcome again. He really hadn't realised, until this exact moment, for some reason, exactly how lucky he was, to have a parent who loved him.

So many of his team hadn't got that! Had never known any kind of love, until they reached the Academy, even then it was more a brotherhood than true love.

Instead of fully leaving, like Kayli wants to, he takes her upstairs, only to find the whole place, including his room, has been completely redecorated.

The first things they see are the stairs. Rather than the plain white spokes in the banister, each spoke is subtlety different. Each is obviously hand painted, some significantly better than others. Fading from pale colours at the bottom to quite bright ones at the top. They don't seem to show anything in particular, not to Kota and Kayli anyway.

While Kota finds them slightly enchanting, Kayli hates them. The slight discolorations, tiny drawings continue all through the hall. Erica's door is open, Kayli, being nosey pushes it the full way open so she can have a look. Kota, having been conditioned that girls need their privacy from an early age, does something that he almost never does, contradicts her, dragging her out. Yet, not before seeing the strange new way the bedroom is painted. Paint splattered across the walls. It seems wrong, but so right, that Kota almost forgets that he just pushed Kayli, almost. Until she shouts at him.

He shakes off the strange feeling from seeing the room, as Kayli drags him into his old one as he can no longer think of it as his current room.

Even his ex-room hasn't escaped the strange new decorations, they're so to the point of being invisible that Kayli doesn't notice them, even when the sketch of Max makes Kota smile a small true smile. He hides it from Kayli she tugs him towards the bed and...

The boys who stayed downstairs, seem uncomfortable and undirectionalised, they sort of drift around not really doing anything until Erica starts to give them menial jobs, her own weird way of punishing them for their part in 'the incident'. They end up cleaning the while of her downstairs, Simon stays perched on Erica's shoulder for most the day. He provides some kind of weird moral support to the stressed lady, who by the end of the day is confused as to why in hell she invited them for Christmas.

A couple of them ask where Jess has gone, but Erica just tells them that she had to leave as something came up. Being purposely vague so that she doesn't have to outright lie. Of course Brandon is still out chasing her, the four are at Uncle's, Luke and North are at Sang's house so there aren't that many for her to direct.

She can't help but be...almost happy when they leave. When it's just her, Simon and Max somehow, she managed to keep him, using the suggestion from Jess helped, saying that he keeps her company. It might have made her feel bad, once, but she was lying to one child for another, one that, even though she shouldn't, she knows that she loves more.

For once Kayli does something for someone else, even if not on purpose, by telling Kota that she is scared of dogs. Erica has to supress a smile as she rethinks of that sentence. Kayli making someone else happy. Making the one who she seems to hate, happy, how uncharacteristic!

Kota leaves with a sadness in his heart, he didn't get to talk to Jess, in fact his relationship seems worse, if that's possible. He really hadn't realised how much he wanted to repair that relationship. It almost upsets him more when he realises that it was him that pushed her away, now, before and he has no idea how to make it better.
