Over the next few months, the town was in absolute terror. The revolution had started, this time led by Yaxuan. Many humans had died in the period, but so had many vampires who were being decapitated once they were captured. Vampires had the upper hand when it came to combat, but humans had an advantage when it came to technology.

The city now had a curfew, and everyone had protective measures in their house to prevent the attacks.

Much like the battle in the 1800's, there was people who rose up to find solutions to the vampire problem. One of them was Mia, probably the youngest member of the people who had dedicated themselves to this job. She had brilliant ideas, and she didn't understand where she got them. In combination with technology, Mia's ideas on fighting against vampires were very effective.

Because of this, she was one of the biggest targets of the vampires. Yaxuan had made it his sore purpose to kill her himself, and would exhibit her body as trophy once he had done it. That's when he really confirmed to himself that Mia was really the descendant of the vampire slayer.

That evening, Mia walked into the house. Her mother was sitting on the couch, now having some time away from work because she still hadn't fully recovered from her head injury.

'Hi mom,' Mia greeted her mother as she made her way to her.

'I was worried about you, don't ever be late again like you've done today.' she put her hand on her heart. 'I thought the vampires had got you.'

'I'm sorry, the meeting ran really late.' She answered as she sat down.

Actually, for some reason, whenever Mia had never been attacked. She had gotten threats and had felt threatened, but no vampire had never gotten too close to her. She felt like she had a guardian angel.

Well, she did. Guardian vampire to be exact. After hearing that there was a battle between humans and vampires in Roselake from some sailors, Zhenyuan had been worried about Mia. He decided to go back to Roselake the same day, and he lived in the shadows only to protect her.

He didn't do anything else, the only thing he did was protect her. And for some reason, that felt like it was enough.

That evening, he watched as she closed the curtains in the house, and a smile appeared on his face. Even though he would never reveal himself to her, he was content with being able to protect her as long as he lived.
